I always thought he was handsome, but I couldn't stand his personality. However, by 2-4, his personality had changed for the better. Besides, I've always had a thing for really intelligent men. And he's one of the smartest, if not the smartest, Ace Attorney characters.
And his courtroom charisma. Obviously.

Plus... DAMN the guy is hot!! Even when he's being all pouty or whatever, he's one handsome man. ^_^ And I love it when he gets broken down in court. He doesn't get sweaty, he just looks baffled. I love it. It entertains me so much. ^_^
And even though he may seem cold and stern on the outside, you know that on the inside, he really cares for his friends. He has a good heart. ^_^

Well....I've always been attracted to men that are not only intelligent but they are on top of things....you know being all responsible and knowing what their doing. I also enjoy the insults he gives to Phoenix in court. Their all funny. And he's handsome, as well. Plus, I find it funny that he doesn't have any people skills. But I guess smart guys don't have time for that.
Who wouldn't love a character like him?

He's really cute and you could tell he'd be loving and caring and protective (Not over-protective. You know what I mean.).
And. And and and. The picture here that was linked to on the CR homepage makes me wanna scream in fangirl glee, but my cat would give me that look he always gives me that says "You're insane..."
For some reason, I never 'hated' him like other people did/do. I just never thought he was that bad. Or bad at all, fo that matter.
Oh, and I would so flyingtackleglomp anyone who looks like him. My friend and I agreed we would glomp every Edgeworth cosplayer we see when we go to Anime Expo 2009. If there aren't any cosplayers, we hug the cardboard Edgies. Muahaha XD

If a person who thinks they're ugly....they would start dressing or grooming themselves differently which Edgeworth hasn't done.
But I do agree that he might have thought all the screaming fangirls were after Phoenix or even Gumshoe.
I see him as an oblivious man.
Even if the female character kisses them....I can see him faint or his face will turn red.

The thing about Edgey is that he's very authentic. He doesn't pretend to be this tortured man with a dark past, he really is tortured. He makes no excuses for what he is and what he stands for. I love that a young gifted man such as him has had to live with the whole "Demon Prosecutor" thing hanging over his head and yet be able to stand proudly in court doing his work. Granted, he probably got a few people locked up or executed that might not have been guilty. They should have hired Diego! I really suspect that Diego was a splendiferous attorney...
Imagine a Diego vs. Miles trial... Now that would be something! Someone should start selling tickets! What can I say, both tall, dark and handsome

Totally agree with you on this one. I really didn't start looking into the Phoenix Wright fandom until the second game. Of course, I started with attempting to find every picture I could of Edgeworth (and Maya along with him. I know I'm bad).
I wish they would make a Phoenix Wright anime just so we could hear what his voice would sound like (maybe some hints of a British accent [/swoon]).

When I played 1-2 the first time, and his sprite appears, I just immediately thought 'Uh.. he's hot.." I quickly checked the profile to make sure he wasn't old [24, what a relief] but I was afraid he was supposed to be the bad guy and I was lamenting why is it that I'm attracted to the bad guy.
Then we all fall for Edgey's tragic backstory and inspiring overcoming of it. And his dialogue and inner monologue.

I actually found him quite lame looking the first time I saw him. He had the look of a villainous little prick, and to top it off, he dressed like someone who looks like they fell into Prince's closet...and then came out of it.
Hahahahaha.
I've grown rather fond of the cravat, though.
But I'll be honest. For the first game, and most of the second, he just didn't do it for me. Sure, I had a little bit of an interest in him, but only for Phoenix's sake (somewhere around 1-3 I became a
/ 
shipper...I admit these days I prefer their friendship and partnership more, but still find the pairing sweet). I wanted to help Nick save the guy from conviction in 1-4, and felt bad about his childhood and when he came under fire in 1-5. Later, I felt Nick's pain and anger whenever Edgeworth came up as a topic in 2-2 and 2-3. finally caught my eye in 2-4. Sure, I giggled at all the traps he laid out for Phoenix in court, but that just meant he had skills (a good thing, yes). Then he came out of nowhere, looking like someone who was just really amused with life after a year of having "chosen death." I was really impressed with his goal to constantly seek the truth, not just because it was his goal, but because he backed his words with actions. He matured both as a person and in his role as prosecutor after fully embracing what a prosecutor really was. He ended up being a reliable person who often helped his friends when they were in a jam. To some, he might come off as "smug," but I see him as someone who shares his wisdom with people in a time they need it the most, whether they want it or not (haha).The skills, the intelligence, the looks and the style...those things are just gravy. But I admit he is quite the attractive fellow
So, uh, yeah. Edgeworth should be synonymous with absolute hotness.

Why I love Edgeworth................ I don't even freaking know. XD
I started off playing JFA. I had an idea of who Edgeworth was because I had seen PW fanart on DeviantART before I bought the game. I'm not really sure how I felt about him. I don't even remember falling in love with him in 2-4... but I did. XD I liked him after that and when I played AA I still liked the more gloomy version. Especially in 1-4 and 1-5! :D After that I got my best friend to play PW and she became and Edgey fangirl. Eventually we got to the "OMG HE'S HOT!" point. XDDD
