Mm, all I see is a 404 on an image....

Still, if Famitisu has first dibs it's gotta be good.

Edit: There we go! I'll prep your post for the front page.

So it's really happening. I wonder if my usual Famitsu source will have info tonight, though I doubt it given they haven't had much the past few weeks.

So it's pretty much all we expected. I wonder how they'll handle the graphics, I can't think GBA sprites scaled to TV size are very pretty unflitered.

I 'think' it's safe to assume this is a high quality port. There's a ton of original art with the characters objecting with the Wiimote. This implies that Capcom's taking this port more seriously then the Cellphone and PC ports that had no original art, and were hasty ports.

Next, looking at the screen with Sawit, there's the Wii's '-' button in the top right corner. We're going to be playing the game GBA style with a single screen. No framey border, no bottom screen, no tricks. My bet is that we're dealing with high quality sprites, though we'll need a better scan to confirm.

Curious that GS4 isn't confirmed with this bundle.

I need a larger, HQ version of the illustrations stat. Absolutely adorable.

I wonder how the graphics will look. I'm sure it's not going to be the regular DS sprites.

A little peculiar that 1-5 is separated from the first game. Sounds like Capcom's using the original GBA games for the port then. Well, duh, it's one screen, so...

That is pretty awesome, thanks for the info. Let's hope we won't have too wait too long from the Japanese release date for an American release one. Aside from hoping we don't get huge bulky pixelated characters, I'm personally hoping the music will be updated a bit to match the WiiWare's capabilities.

Most likely not, considering that the source we first had for these Wii versions of the games was a note from the German rating association who confirmed rating the game.

Come on Capcom, this is your Golden Oppertunity to remake GS4 and fix some out the outstanding problems. You could add less Phoenix, sort out the plotholes in 4-3, add more character development... all sorts of things.

YES!

Knowing the WiiWare system, NOA will probably announce it in a couple of days, and release it a week or two after the Japanese date.

Gah, so early! Less than a month for 1-1~4!

It will. Remember the "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" Wii trademark? It wasn't "Gyakuten Saiban", it was "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney". That's a confirmation in my book.

The Fami scan seems to be implying that XD

Personally, I don't mind, althought I would use it once in a while.

It's still difficult to tell with the scan's quality. But I want to say that the graphics are still sprites. I was specifically looking for the GIF style dithering that in game is especially obvious on the courtroom background, but JPEG artifacts make such detail examination impossible.

Yep, seems like sprites to me as well.
Although at first glance the Maya sprite seems to have a slightly different palette, but this is probably due to the scan quality.
So sprites it is then!
Now I'm just wondering if it'll be stretched DS resolution, or a new resolution altogether.

Capcom USA just released a press release. Reading it as we speak.
Quote:
CAPCOM® UNVEILS CLASSIC ACE ATTORNEY® SERIES FOR WiiWareTM

The beloved Ace Attorney series featuring the most exciting courtroom dramas of the digital decade are headed to Nintendo's popular download service in 2010

SAN MATEO, Calif. — November 18, 2009 — Capcom® Entertainment, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that three classic Ace Attorney® games are scheduled for digital release on Nintendo’s WiiWare next year beginning with the one that started it all, Phoenix Wright™: Ace Attorney® followed by Phoenix Wright™ Ace Attorney®: JUSTICE FOR ALL, and Phoenix Wright™ Ace Attorney®: TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. Gamers can expect the deliberations to begin January 2010. These games will cost 1,000 Wii Points, $10.00 USD.

Ace Attorney’s massive popularity and appeal in Japan has caught on in the West and the franchise has now sold well over 3.7 million units worldwide. For the first time ever, this beloved handheld series is making an appearance on a home console, giving gamers access to three of the classic Ace Attorney adventures from the comfort of their own living rooms. Fans and newcomers alike will have a chance to star as the most popular defense attorney in videogames, Phoenix Wright – a man driven by principles and his ability to separate fact from dubious fiction. Each game in the series presents twisting storylines and intriguing gameplay with comical anime stylings. Players will collect evidence, weed through inconsistent testimonies and overcome corrupt agendas to ensure that justice prevails! Present evidence with the wave of the Wii remote or press suspicious testimonies by wiggling it. These games can be played via single-player and has multiple save slots.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Episode 1 through 4) is the first release hitting in January. The story kicks off with Phoenix Wright defending his childhood friend Larry Butz from a murder charge. But this is only the beginning drama for the tenacious legal eagle as Wright faces unexpected tragedies that will test the limits of his incredible deductive prowess. In May, owners of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney will be able to download the bonus episode that appeared in the original Nintendo DS™ version of the game. It will cost 100 Wii Points.

In March, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: JUSTICE FOR ALL arrives. Phoenix Wright has six months experience and five court victories under his belt. But none of that will do him any good against the ruthless new D.A. in town. Franziska von Karma wants revenge and she's ready to take Phoenix down at any cost!

In May, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS arrives. Phoenix will face the toughest prosecutor yet as the mysterious hard-boiled “Godot” is gunning for him with extreme prejudice. Get ready for the most intense courtroom standoffs of Phoenix Wright’s career!
