Who do you think has the best objection/objection-y sound effect in the game?
I made a youtube video showing my thoughts. There might be some spoilers for those who haven't finished playing SoJ or GK2 =p

Loved the animations on the SoJ characters. Those should've been the actual ones, darn it.

And I'm shocked that you put Manfred and Blaise so low.

Why? Manfred sounds like the person who edited his voice kinda fell on the keyboard with their face or something, imao. Or maybe it was a cat. :shoe: Cats love messing with keyboards. :godot:

Because he's so intimidating. Makes you wonder if he's a demon or something.

What you described is more like the voice of Godot.

Yea I kind of agree with Viktoria on this point. Manfred and Blaise's objections are a bit too distorted for my tastes, it kinda hurts my ears. They're definitely unique, but I guess you could say one of the criteria for my rankings was how comfortable it sounds on repeat =).

how did you not even include IGIARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRI?!?!?!

(which is clearly #1, and #2 is hands-down Lang's Japanese voice clip)

Speaking of voice clips, am I the only one who thinks the Japanese "Eureka!" sounds like "Hold 'em up!"?
If you need a defense attorney, come talk to me! I just...can't take any cases that are in real life...it has to be on Miiverse. But I'm a justice-seeking warrior who wins every time, like Mr. Fine over there! Well, as long as you're not guilty. In Justice We Trust!

Lolol. Yea to be honest, I never looked too much into the Japanese voice clips. I'm one of those dudes that prefer dubs over subs if you know what I'm sayin. *RUNS*

Unofficially localized characters are marked with "(dub voice)".
Spoiler: English
1. PW/AAI Miles Edgeworth
2. PW/AJ Phoenix Wright (very close second): I get a very heroic feeling from Phoenix's original objection. It just sounds so... Wright.
3. Dhurke Sahdmadhi: Dhurke's "Objection!" is Badass incarnate.
4. Godot: Deep and full of bravado.
5. Mia Fey
6. Kristoph Gavin: Refined and cool, though there's something that feels "off" about it, like he's hiding something.
7. Ga'ran Sigatar Khura'in: Authoritatively intimidating. She's the queen, and she's not letting you forget it.
8. AJ Apollo Justice
9. Franziska von Karma
10. Simon Blackquill
11. Shi-Long Lang
12. Sebastian Debeste (dub voice): There's something I really like about Sebastian's "Objection!". Before The Grand Turnabout, it serves to highlight his incompetence. Late during the last case, it sounds more like determination and a new found resolve.
13. Rayfa Padma Khura'in
14. Nahyuta Sahdmadhi: Not as badass as his father, but still quite impressive.
15. AJ Klavier Gavin: There's that faux German accent hiding beneath, and the small inflection in voice tone sounds a bit playful, which seems right for him.
16. Athena Cykes: Young and energetic, and unlike her co-workers it doesn't sound like she's forcing it out.
17. Raymond Shields (dub voice): A deep-but-heroic baritone, and he goes straight to the point.
18. Blaise Debeste (dub voice): Deep, coarse and intimidatingly scary. It's even more demonic than Manfred von Karma.
19. Manfred von Karma: A deep, almost demonic voice fitting his reputation as the "god of prosecuting".
20. Quercus Alba: Deep and authoritative.
21. Jacques Portsman: Filled with overconfidence.
22. Justine Courtney (dub voice)
23. Simon Keyes (dub voice): It sounds a bit weak, but he's also one of the few people here who isn't a lawyer and he isn't in a position of authority like Quercus Alba.
24. Gaspen Payne: A bit annoying, though less shrill than his brother. There's also a hint of overconfidence and obnoxiousness. Likely the intended reaction.
25. DD/SoJ Apollo Justice: Seems a lot more forced than his original "Objection!"
26. Horace Knightley (dub voice): Drawing out the beginning of the objection makes it a bit weird.
27. Gregory Edgeworth (dub voice): It's not horrifyingly bad, but it feels a bit weaker than I expected. I actually heard work from his voice actor before, and I find it surprising since he's got some good stuff.
28. Winston Payne: Shrill and annoying. Likely the intended reaction.
29. DD Klavier Gavin: Lacks the slight faux German accent and playful rock star inflection his original voice had. It just sounds so... generic now.
30. DD/SoJ Phoenix Wright: Sam Rigel does a decent cutscene voice, but his courtroom voice sounds way too forced.
∞. DD/SoJ Miles Edgeworth: Kyle Herbert also does a good cutscene voice, but his courtroom voice is so forced it sounds like a constipated 80 year old man.

Spoiler: French
1. AJ Apollo Justice
2. PW/AJ Phoenix Wright
3. PW/AAI Benjamin Hunter (Miles Edgeworth)
4. Mia Fey
5. Godot
6. Shi-Long Lang (dub voice)
7. Kristoph Gavin
8. Franziska von Karma
9. AJ Konrad Gavin (Klavier Gavin)
10. Caliste Éria (Calisto Yew) (dub voice)
11. Olivier Chelem (Jacques Portsman) (dub voice)
12. Manfred von Karma: Doesn't sound nearly as intimidating as in Japanese or as demonic as in English. In fact, he sounds constipated.
13. Victor Boulay (Winston Payne)

I find it funny that Edgey is both simultaneously the best and the worst in your list.

And Phoenix is simultaneously second best and second worst, too. XD :nick-sweat: :edgeworth:

But yeah, I really don't like the voices they used for older characters in the newer games. Phoenix and Apollo sound too forced to me, Edgeworth sounds constipated and Klavier just sounds generic.
