Suggestions for sprite improvement would be appreciated. Please do not use these without my permission.Oh, just fyi, I have saved the sprites separately from the backgrounds. I just thought, you know, the characters would look better with backgrounds.

As for Karen herself, I tried to give her the timid, run-for-the-hills-at-the-snap-of-a-twig kind of look. Oh shoot, I'm always used to saving images as JPGs. Can you tell me why it's better to save sprites as PNGs? And thanks!

If I remember correctly, it is because JPEG breaks the monochromatic lines to give that perfect picture which is bad in sprites because every line, or rather pixel, is needed.

Just at a glance you can tell which sprites people have saved as jpeg D=

Yeah, I know better now. Hopefully my future sprites will look better. Thank you for your kind words!Actually, I did save the actual Pearl sprite separately; I just thought it would look better if there was something behind her. (Although I did fail to initially save it as a png.
