Wright's been whipped, slapped, even ate a necklace (with a small vial of poison) whole.

He can take it.

It would be interesting to say how they killed Phoenix in the demo of Dual Destinies

I still think something is off about the arms and clothing, but you definitely improved on hair and faces (although the judge's granddaughter outside-the-bench sprites had nicely done faces too)

The clothing at the bottom does get hidden behind the bench.

I don't think there's something weird with clothing,

but there could be something off with the arms

The following is critical advice from an artist. And is in no way meant to be an insult.
The problem lies in the face hand and arm shape. The face is too boxy, the shoulders are too thin, and the hands look like they don't have any bones. You need to look at these parts in a mirror and attempt to recreate them. Does your face look that smooth at that angle? Are your shoulders that thin? Are your hands that...floppy looking? You also need to consider the AA art style. I hope this helps.

I didn't say or take it as an insult :sadshoe:
Actually the face, at least for me is the strongest point in my sprites in general and hands? At least in this one there are no hands (See mommy, without hands!) And about the AA art style...

I have to say, you're great with faces and front-facing heads in general! (I could never do eyes properly like that!) But you still need some work on the body.
Trucy looks like she's a little twisted, Enlarge her hat, and twist that cape around to make the diamond maybe line up with her left (in our perspective) eye, other than that, great detail in the face and body! Looks great!

Your OC's body in that standard pose just looks a little off. His arms and body looks smaller than the face.

Mia looks great!

The biggest thing for you to work on is definitely the arms and hands. Make sure they're the same length in all of the different poses. Compare Cambrio's first sprite to the one where he is smiling. His arms in the smiling pose are about the length they should be. But in the first sprite, his arms are very short - They only come to about where his elbow should be.

The sprites aren't bad... They're quite good, actually. But I think that they could look much better if you just improved the arms. For me, that's the biggest critique here. Just make sure that everything has the same proportions in each sprite.

And I like the badger.

I think the Layla set is my favourite of yours overall. I was disappointed it didn't get many votes in the AAO competition :viola: . They looked a lot better than some others IMO.

The other day I come with the conclusion that I should do a co-council set of Layla but am not sure, what do you think?

Only if you want to. Sprite what you feel :will: . If you feel she needs them, then do so, no need to feel pressured into making sprites you don't want to make.
