But, might as well take the risk, and if anyone thinks that it's all too far removed from the Phoenix Wright style and relevance... it can be locked, deleted or moved, I guess. Life is all about taking chances, right? ^^;
On that note, if you would like to use something here, I can't stop you. But I'd prefer if you asked me first and gave credit where credit is due. I can take requests if you have them, too, but I cannot guarantee if or when I will be done with them because I'm a lazy bum like that.
Okay. Just as a bit of background, since every time is story time for me: I joined the thread posting as my normal Gaia avatar, not realizing what it would lead to. If I had, I might have changed things a little and put some thought into my character instead of sticking with my default. I mean, she's a fairy for crying out loud! With giant insect wings! That's just not normal! But, well, it's a pretty crackalicious RP and people seem a bit too fond of her as she is for me to change her now. (Besides, I'm working on a plot which will give the whole fairy thing some sort of meaning in a fairy-less world. Hopefully.)
I felt left out posting as an OC in text when everyone else had pretty images to use. But did that stop me? 'Course not, I'm an ar-teest! So I took Mia Fey's mugshot and used it as a base for the mugshot of Lady Pie A. LaMode, using the Gaia avatar as a reference for color and form.
... yeah, that used to be Mia. That should give you an idea of how far removed these can get from their bases.
And I realize now that the eyes look a bit strange compared to standard Phoenix Wright eyes, but... well, they're pretty heavily based on the ones I use on Gaia. I like them. They're pretty. ... Don't look at me that way! D:
So then, after that, having only one sprite started bugging me in a "Pie Never Changes Facial Expressions" sort of way, since she'd be grinning whether she was happy or angry or ashamed or anything. But I was too lazy to start making full-body sprites for her. So began the development of what is now a frickin' huge set of Pie's emote-related mugshots.
Okay! Well. Now that we're through with that - is anyone still with me, or is this all too "tl;dr"? Ehheh... um...
Anyway. If you are still with me, time for evidence! Because I find making the little mugshots and evidence easier than the fullbody stuff...
A few mugshots of other original characters.
New lunchboxes for Angel. All are scratchwork, save for the lunchbox design itself.

Heh, I love doing all the little expressions. I've gotten very good at figuring out just how the eyes and mouth, and maybe a little cheek color, can tell the mood of a character, so...

And yes, I love her wings too. Which is why I couldn't remove them even though they're so out of place. Heh. I am working, however, on a future plot which could tie them in with things better.

All right, this one is a little different, but... I've started playing Angel in the same RP, and as much as I love all the tasty lunches she hands out... some characters want food that isn't available! Oh noes!
So, I decided to try making a new one. Specifically, I tried making shrimp tempura, for a certain hungry shark.
I haven't really reduced the colors as far as I'd like, but I figure that unless someone's going over it with a fine-tooth comb, it should look close enough to the style...
I'll probably try drawing others in the future, too. Anyone have a favorite food they'd like to request?

Anyway, first some storytime... in the little crack RP I'm in, our Gant-mun was talking in the OOC thread about how he had just had his eyes dilated at the eye doctor's. And the thought of this was a funny image to me. So I made a quick edit of it, and he keeps on using it at funny times... so, after seeing it again... why not share? If he likes it so much, maybe others will, too. 8D
Also, a few new Piemotes. Nothing really worth noting there... it's mostly piecing together pieces of other ones.
