Nice!

You should apply a skeleton to it and make a Garry's Mod ragdoll from it, I bet a GModder would appreciate it.

I must say, this looks fantastic! I especially like how you did the back of his hair, considering you never get to see back there.
Even in Dual Destinies, the official model didn't do much with the very back. Presumably because you don't see it. If you don't know what I mean, here.
Spoiler: Back of Phoenix's head in DD

On a side note, I'm curious. How was your approach to learning zBrush? I'd like to know how you learnt it.

Only problem with that is that models made in zBrush are too high quality to be put in gmod as it is now atleast.

thanks a bunch, Silverbelle ^^
I'm glad my interpretation of his hairstyle wasn't a disaster haha
and you're right - unfortunately it's a significant amount of work to make it into a full game character :udgey:

As far as how I learned Zbrush, I'm a slow learner so i've been trying to improve with it for like 9 years :meekins:
It's become an indispensable tool for 3d artists these days!

Thanks for the reply. I'm learning zBrush too and seeing things like this really inspires me!

Also, I'm just curious. The pose looks like it was based on his 1/10 figure. Are you planning on doing Edgeworth's 1/10 as well?
and I mean this one here.

Hey Silverbelle, good point! I didn't even know about the GS5 figures until I took a break to start looking up poses for his jacket

I'd love to do an Edgeworth, Godot, or Franziska, but we'll see. I'm super lazy in my off-time haha :ron:

it's cool you're also learning Zbrush! Keep at it, it's so powerful now.
There are a lot of awesome tutorials on zbrushcentral, 3dtotal, etc. It may be worth buying a comprehensive DVD from eat3d or gnomon for all the crazy hidden features in Zbrush.
If you hang around good 3d communities like polycount, zbrushcentral, 3dtotal, cgfeedback, you can pick up some really useful info. But it all mostly just comes down to tons of practice! :)

Thanks for letting me know about some places I can turn to. :maya:
and I'd totally love to see the kind of AA model's you'd make if you decide to do more, regardless of what you make though I'll be checking it out. :will:

...When I first came in here I thought you had just put a spiffy background on a photo of the Phoenix figurine that came with the limited edition version of DD :beef:

This is just so incredible! I definitely think you did Nick justice with that model! It's better than his models in-game!

If you had access to a 3D printer, you could print these models out. That would be amazing! (I don't know if it's like this for you, but near where my school is there is a shop that will 3D print models for you if you send them the file and pay them)
