YaoiCon is usually Halloween weekend/the last weekend in October, with the exception of last year when they had to move it up to September. Fanime is always Memorial Day weekend, AX is usually one of the first few weeks in July, etc. etc. If they have to change it for any reason, they normally announce within a few months after the current year's con is over, so you'll have plenty of time to plan it out. You'll see cosplay at all cons you go to, the larger ones like Fanime/AX/Otakon will just have a lot more people, and therefore a lot more cosplayers, and thus a higher chance of you running into some PW cosplayers. If you're coming out to California, YaoiCon is a good one if you're 18+, Fanime is absolutely amazing every year, and I've heard AX is pretty fun as well. |

Cosplaying!!! Woot >D I know I'm going to try my best to go to Mini-Megacon at the end of August. At least that is what the site is calling it o: Since Megacon will start next year. I haven't read too much into it but I know one difference is that Mini-Megacon is open 2 days only--compared to Megacon which is open for 3 days. SacAnime is this weekend and so I had to come on here and see what cosplayers from this series would be going! Would a couple of you be interested in meeting up and doing a photoshoot together? I'll be cosplaying as Maya and I'm coordinating with a photographer. Trying to keep it to two or three other people. I'm thinking about doing it in the late afternoon (around 3pm-5pm) if anyone might be interested. =3 Let me know quick! |

That would be wonderful to have you badfangirl. Your cosplay looks great. =3 The photographer just wanted to keep the group small so that everyone's ideas could better fit into the amount of time we have to shoot together. Hopefully we'll be able to accommodate whoever is interested though and get some good shots. Even if it's just the two of us! Who will you be cosplaying, by the way? And yes, planning this for Saturday afternoon after the voice actors panel and before the masquerade. Hoping 3pm would work with most people to meet. We can probably meet in the lobby unless anyone has a better idea of the area and where to shoot at. I'll hopefully manage to scope out some locations earlier in the day. |

OK I now know for sure that Kei-Kon is canceled. But there is this new con in the same place. I forget the official name, but the name everyone calls it is Ski-con. They haven't really planned anything else yet but I will let you know when there's a site and/or a date :) |

It literally astounds me how you manage to keep up with this beast of a list! I, and I'm sure everyone else, greatly thank you for your effort. It's great to be able to check one place and see if any fellow court-records members will be at a convention. :) Since all of my 2009 conventions are done for the year, would it be okay if you remarked me for the 2010's? I know I'll definitely be going to OtakuMex 2010. Not sure about SWACE (May not be happening this year since it was delayed for several months). And I think I might be able to go to Sakuracon 2010 (tagging along with friends/ have my mom make it my birthday gift lol), but not entirely sure though :/ |
