Hey there everyone!
I just wanted to show this dress that I made for the formal ball at Anime Boston this year, and maybe get some feedback on it, since I figured that a lot of you guys might be interested in it.

Just to let y'all know, I'm a fashion design student, and I've done some other designs for other fancy ace attorney inspired gowns in my free time that I figure some of you guys might be interested in. (all drawn on the same croquis because I'm lazy)

hahah well I do intend to make another ace attorney ballgown eventually, but keep in mind that it's a very labour and cost intensive process.
In total, the materials alone in that dress were about 200 dollars, and it took me about 25 hours to draft the pattern, test the pattern in cheap fabric, and sew the final piece. I don't have the money to buy the materials to make another dress at the moment, unless I were to sew it for a class and get my parents to pay for supplies, but I can keep designing them.

Well, those 200 dollars was totally worth it! It looks amazing. I think I won't run out of compliments. :3 :pearl:

I'm so glad! I made it to wear as trucy at a convention, so it's pretty good that people can imagine trucy wearing it, since that was the entire goal.

I love designing variations to a character's costumes, so it's really an honor to hear that!!

That's amazing! I love how you've retained the core of the design/character while completely changing the type of clothing.

You'd better take pictures of yourself [or whoever it is] actually wearing this!

That is the ultimate goal whenever you design something based on something else, so it's awesome to hear that I've done that so well.
And I fully intend to get some good pictures with my lovely polly on the sunday of the con! Thats about 5 weeks away though, so it'll be a while before I can post them.
I have some low quality phone photos though
