The investigation never determined who the gun belonged to.

But who cares about that when Franziska is there to voice all your petty complaints about Francis' argument? Yes, I mean that. An UPDATE!!!!!!
Spoiler:
Next time, the big climax! Francis presents his case!

But it could have just been deemed uneccessary information. He was part of the investigation, I doubt Gumshoe even gives all the facts of his investigations.

Or in the comic did they say that they never found that out?

They never found that out, not because it was said, but because it wasn't said.
Also they had no way to find out.

But enough about that. Don't you all want to know what really happened?

Spoiler:
That last contradiction wasn't really an important contradiction, but rather I had to bring up why the Valium was at the scene - and I wanted to make it look like Doc was driven into a corner and was looking for a way out. Feedback required, is that the impression you got?

HHHmmmmm.... It felt kinda rushed. It was good, but rushed.

Probably because we have all these mysteries and clues popping up, and then Francis just explains all of it in two comics. In the actual cases, we get the mystery revealed little by little...

Also, motive?

I know it was rushed, which is why I felt it wasn't a very good ending, but I just didn't have enough material for a whole extra page without making it feel stretched - which is worse, IMO.

Well, with this rushing it's not something that could've been solved with just an extra page... Stuff has to be revealed over the entire comic, so it's not just a quick fix...

Spoiler:
More than a breakdown, I want to know what Black's motive was. Unless you suffer from some sort of dangerous mental illness (which is unlikely in someone connected to the police force), you don't kill someone just for the heck of it.

We also haven't gotten much of an explanation for the email Tsuki read. In fact, that wasn't brought up at all in the trial.

I get the impression closing the book on this case would be a bit premature at this point...
I also worry about my plans for my own comic...

Guess we'll have to wait for that either later in the case or at Black's murder trial. Quite clearly, Black was guilty from all the evidence tampering (and since everything pointed to him anyway), so it proved that Francis couldn't have been the killer; and since he was the one on trial, not Black, then that's all that was needed.

Or something like that.

Very good gag(scene #30 of case 3 is wonderful xD), a story very nice and a great character.
I only don't like very much Francis's sprite, but I can live with them =D

That doesn't change its significance. I doubt Greeny threw the email in there without a good reason. The point is that there are still a lot of loose ends that haven't been tied up.
