...is English your first language? I'm thinking not, because in the context that it's used in, "if" would signify that you have to assume that a woodchuck CAN chuck wood. So... uh, your answer's wrong. Try again.

*BUMP*

Excuse me, but...can someone please help me with this puzzle?
Sorry if this has been posted before.

There are 5 bags that look the same, each of them contains 5 marbles. One bag is slightly different than the others - it contains marbles that are a bit heavier than the rest. Like, suppose the normal marbles weigh 10 grams each, so a whole bag would weigh 50 grams. The heavier marbles weigh 10,1 grams each, so the one different bag would be 0,5 grams heavier than the normal ones.
Now, how do you recognize the heavier bag? There is an ordinary analog scale that can help you...but you may only use it once. Yup, only once. And that's what got me confused in the first place...

You take one marble from the first one, two from the second, three from the third,...

Then, you have to look at the number after the point. If, for example, the third bag contained the heavy marbles, there should be a 3 after the point, because 10.1g*3=30.3g . If the fourth bag contained the heavy marbles, it would weigh 150.4g, since 10g*1+10g*2+10g*3+10.1g*4+10g*5=150.4g .
Shortly speaking, if there's a 1 after the point, it was the first bag, if there's a 2, it was the second, if there is a 3, it was the third and so on.

It is in Professor Layton (first one IIRC), but it's phrased a bit differently. Instead of asking how you do it by using a scale one time, they ask you what the lowest number of times you need to use the scale is.

A murder is also a group of crows. She witnesses a group of crows as she turned the corner.

"How old are your three daughters?" A man asks his friend one day.
"Well, the product of their ages is 36."
"You aren't giving me enough information." The man interjected.
"The sum of their ages is the age of your eldest son."
"I still need more information!" The man, now angered.
"All right. The eldest daughter just learned to play the piano. She's quite good."
"Ah, now I know how old your daughters are. Thank you for your time." The man tipped his hat, and left his friend.

How old are the three daughters?

each sack had seven cats, each cat had seven kittens -> 56 cats (including kittens) per sack.
Each wife had seven sacks -> 7x56 -> Each wife had 392 cats...
I met a man with seven wives -> 7x392 -> 2744 cats in total.
2744 + 7 (wives) + 1 (the man) + 1 (you) -> 2753 (?)

The answer was one. Correct!

A criminal is being sent to his death. He's given three choices of rooms to go in to die. The first room is filled with flames that would incinerate him. The second room is filled with lions that haven't eaten in three years. The third room is filled with poison gas that will suffocate him. Which room has the highest likelihood of him surviving, and why?

The room with lions that haven't eaten in three years, because that's a room of dead lions right there. Then he can fashion some lionhide clothes, and use their meat for sustenance on his daring escape. Perhaps turn some of their bones into swords. Okay, the meat's probably rotten away by now, as is the hide, and the bones aren't so hard anymore, unless the room is a freezer. This is all irrelevant, he's at least surviving that room.

Did Gloria cut her mouth drinking from a glass and then drop it? And, the shards are unrelated? Maybe Beatrice was strangled, not stabbed.
