I know the feeling. I always lose friends because they want to be cool and "belong" with the group of "cool" kids..... I don't care much for that stuff (I never belong with the kids of my age), and I don't care about popularity or what the other kids may think about me. I tend to lose a lot a friends that way...
But that's really okay, I usely just out grow them.
It just happens. Although it does hurt...

Back on the topic of ex-friends: I don't know if this counts, but there's a girl that was part of our class that I used to hang out with, but she got prego her freshman year with a junior that year, and when she had her kid, she kinda stopped talking to me and my bff, whom I shall call Karen(, and she will be the Karen to my Lucia. MMPPP group FTW.). She's also deleted her Myspace, and pretty much never stops to talk to me during pep rallies.

There was this one guy who wasn't really a new friend, just someone new I met along with a girl I was interested in. A few weeks later she "dumped" me (I quote that because we were just going out at that stage) and apparently left me for him. I was angry but her friend stepped forward and told me she liked me. So we were going out for about 2 months when... dun dun duuuun... exactly the same thing happened.
...So. Yeah. I hated his guts since. Still friends with that girl (she since became a huge part of my life and the way I am now, although we've lost touch a bit in recent months) but that guy... Turns out he was such a sleazy liar too. I remember thinking how do these sorts of people get picked over honest guys like me? ...But I digress.

A few weeks later she "dumped" me (I quote that because we were just going out at that stage) and apparently left me for him. I was angry but her friend stepped forward and told me she liked me. So we were going out for about 2 months when... dun dun duuuun... exactly the same thing happened.
...So. Yeah. I hated his guts since. Still friends with that girl (she since became a huge part of my life and the way I am now, although we've lost touch a bit in recent months) but that guy... Turns out he was such a sleazy liar too. I remember thinking how do these sorts of people get picked over honest guys like me? ...But I digress.
I rarely "hate" people truly, but him I do.
We were on the worst times for a long time. The guy in my story was just using her for kicks anyway. Literally talked about how he was cheating on her all the time, I told her and she thought I was just trying to split them up ¬¬
But unlike many people I'm not childish in that sense.

and my current MORTAL ENEMY was in fact, at one point....my best friend
and this all stemmed from one event
that turned my world completely around
leaving me all but a fourth insane

I once lost a friend over a guy, and you guys are probably gonna think/say, "Oh Emiko, that's not cool ruining a friendship over love."
Even before that, she went from really cool to a real jerk. She and her group of fiends tossed my stuffed animals across the campus, tried to tie me to a tree with my scarf, and she had a huge ego which was unexpected seeing how she's a bright person.
And listening to yo'mama jokes everyday got old very quickly. -_-
And another friend who was really close to me. She was mixed raced just like me and we used to talk everyday about anime and cartoons and such. She was a great person, but eventually things went sour and I couldn't be friends with someone who told me what opinions I should have or how to think and feel, so eventually I stopped talking to her.
I eventually found a friend who was better than her but I still miss my 7th/8th grade friend to this day, I can just only hope that whatever she's doing or whatever is happening with her that she's happy. *tear rolls down my face* darn it! ^^;

Oh thank you! Well, usually I would try to be the bigger person and say revenge is the wrong choice and when you do it you'll end up hitting yourself with recoil. But what's done is done, might as well not regret it too long, perhaps they deserved that.
