It's not the end of the world though! I mean I'm making fair decent steps to become a Radio Broadcaster, which would require exams in, I don't know, English, Drama, Politics, Media; that sort of thing.
What did I take? Chemistry, Geography and Theology. Opposite end of the spectrum.
What you need is a whole heap of determination, self belief and the gumption to get in the face of places that you want to work. You can always push for work experience, or put together a demo game using cheap software? I know radio presenting is less of a skill than game making, but I'm sure you'd pick it up quickly in the right environment.
