DECEMBER 25TH; 2 AM: NORTH POLE.

"Well, it's been a couple hours, and the last house The Big man needed to visit
was completed successfully"

The elves eyed the computer monitors.
An entire operation center for when Santa took his yearly flight,
and none of the elves knew what was going on.
A young one turned to the elf to his right.
"But where is he?"
"Sensors indicate his sleigh is still intact, so he didn't crash."
The elf replied
An elf with glasses tapped one of the monitors and said.
"And the suit is still registering a heartbeat"
the young one's eyes grew wide
"Didn't it stop for a couple minutes?"
"it does that whenever he goes down a chimney"
"there's no way a chimney would be that long"
"Well sometimes he needs to take a longer route."

The wind howled so it took the elves a while to realize that the heartbeat sensor

was offline.

"This has never happened before!"

The elves were in a panic.

The machines that were powered by Santa's magic had went out.

The entire North Pole went dark.

One of the elves lit a candle.

♩"It's beginning to look a lot like Murder!
Santa's off the grid!"

"If we get the system online,
We'll see that Santa's fine!
And he's helping them feed a starving kid!"

"It's beginning to look a lot like Murder!
The World's gone to hell!"

But the big man will be right back!
And that's when we should attack!
So just hold that knell!"

"He's fought Nazis, And crazies And mutated Daisies
And has always come out unscathed!
Martians have failed and the mothership bailed
And so now the world is saved!
So this could not be something so small for it to be waived"

"it's beginning to look a lot like-"♩

The doors slammed open, and a tall thin creature shuffled inside
Without any magic to aid them, the elves were powerless.

They cowered in the corner of the control room

The creature had a pale grey skin color, and wore black clothing with an even darker grey cotton lining the trim.
It was easily eight feet tall, and it's long thin fingers brushed against the knobs as it walked toward the elves.
It showed signs of once having ling hair, but it was completely bald now, except for a few hairs still on it's chin and head.

In a thin raspy voice, the creature cackled and spoke with it's yellowed teeth

"Ho.
Ho.
Ho"

DECEMBER 24TH; ONE YEAR LATER

DoMaya couldn't control himself, he had tried everything but he just couldn't stop his words from forming.
Merry Christmas!
He writhed in agony internally as he spread the Christmas cheer.
This was a terrible holiday and he wanted to see to it that everyone else had a rotten one too.

He had tried everything!

Around noon, while the resident CR Chef made soup for lunch, DoMaya grabbed a random assortment of spices and poured them all into the pot with a fiendish smile on his face and he laughed.
As he laughed the spices tickled his nostrils, and to stop himself from sneezing he looked away and plugged his nose.

As the finger met his nose, a most peculiar magic occurred behind him in the pot.

He walked away smiling and sneezing as the chef walked in and tasted the soup.
And to his surprise it tasted just like his mother used to make!
With a tear in his eye he poured bowls for each of the CR residents.

Around 3 he finished programming an automated defense for his room, a pie to be thrown should someone walk into his room.
He had the bright idea to trick someone to test to see if it worked.

He went up the stairs that connected the basement to the rest of the tower and peeked through the door.
He saw the perfect victim.
Blak The Great
Hey Blak! Come here!
Blak turned around and pointed to himself
Yeah you!

Blak walked over and DoMaya closed the door.

Try opening my door! I bet you can't!

Blak hesitated, he could smell something fishy.

"DoM if this is one of your pranks you won't be opening this door anytime soon"
Come on Blak! It's Christmas! Even I wouldn't stoop that low!
DoMaya went down a couple steps so the pie wouldn't hit him in the back of the head.
The pie was primed to swing when the door opened, and DoMaya covered his mouth to stifle a laugh

When Blak opened the door it wasn't a pie that flew at him, but a gift that presented itself in shiny red wrapping paper.

Blak (having recovered from his flinch) grabbed the gift.

DoMaya was dumbfounded, he sat and watched as Blak looked the gift over.

"Thanks DoMaya!"

Blak wandered off, and DoMaya was alone.

DoMaya sat in the basement.
He closed his eyes and tried to imagine how his usual tricks could be messed up so much.

I bet someone's messing with me!
He said to no one in particular.
They must have my room bugged somehow, so they know what I'm planning!
He turned around quickly to see if he saw a camera.
Nothing
Just a bare stone wall with a couple dungeon-esqe chains attached to them.
He continued talking to himself as he typed the finishing touches into his coding program.

This'll show e'm! He grinned as he left it to compile.

He stood up and spun around in a circle to make sure no cameras were watching him.

With shifty eyes he pulled one of the chains, and opened a secret door leading to an even deeper level of the basement.

This was entirely of his own creation too, it was a better kept secret than the Judges Chambers where the admins and mods got together to talk about him.

Two can play at this secret game!

He walked into the hallway, looking at all of the Art he had hanging along it.

Pictures he had gotten from friends, and some from complete strangers.

His heart was heavy, as he felt he would not get another one this year.

The hallway led to a fork, to the left was his secret workshop, where all the magic happened.
And to the right.....
Well.
To the right was her shrine.
A dimly lit room dedicated to all things Maya.
A bust of her (made in green marble) was the centerpiece, and he rubbed his hand along it's cheek.

A soft rattling could be heard, but DoMaya took no heed.

As he exited the shrine, the coals in the torches lighting the room vibrated. and went out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was some time before DoMaya left the basement again. But night had not yet struck the tower.

He did his usual rounds, and collected the parts left over from the banned spam bots.

It was four, and the sun was setting fast.

DoMaya sat on one of the community couches in the Wright & Co. Law Offices.

He challenged the others to Brawl yet again, but no one would play his outdated game.

He sighed.

A new person walked in, and the regulars were leery.

The new person smiled.
He was a hooded character, tall and thin.
But he carried the usual gait that a spambot had, and the others gripped their hammers tightly.

The new guy sat on the couch and listened to the conversations being had.

Shelly and Higanjima were cuddling in front of the fireplace.
(both unaware of the coals vibrating)

Just another day in CR Tower.

*sigh*

CatMuto started talking a bit loudly, and it caught the attention of Pierre.
DoMaya smiled, his OTP was about to go at it again.
But then the lights went out.

The site was dark, save the light from the fireplace.

The regulars glared at the new guy, who was wide eyed and pressing back into the couch.

It didn't take long until someone gasped, (DoMaya was sure it was Shelly)

All eyes went to DoMaya, who was shining a bright shade of red.

Unaware of this, he looked around and said;
What is my fly down? or is something on my face?
Looking down and touching his face at the same time, DoMaya found his feet start to leave the ground.

Wahh!?
He bellowed as his head shot straight through the ceiling.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A floor above, in the women's restroom Lida was taking a shower.
The lights went out so she stepped out.

She grabbed for her towel and started to wrap her body with it.

She heard a crash and grabbed the towel rack with her left hand, keeping the towel in place.

The lights went on and Lida saw a dazed DoMaya

Unfazed, she asks;
"At it again DoMaya?"

Forcing his best Dremworks smile, DoMaya stammers;
Wait I can explain!
Lida shifts her weight to her other leg, and puts her left arm on her hip still keeping her body completely covered.

DoMaya looks around, seeing her panties laying in the corner of the room.

He gives a genuine smile, but not the kind Lida wanted to see.

"Goodnight DoMaya."
She says as she throws a hand towel over his head. obstructing his view.

He shakes his head but that only makes him fall down into the floor below, bringing a large chunk of the ceiling with him.

---------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

DoMaya crashes back onto the couch, the others give a collective "aww" as they put away their pinata bats.
