Final Fantasy VI. It was the best game ever when I was a wee one, and I remembered how absolutely fantastic it is thanks to the GBA remake. Godot

I'd have to say it in three catagories
pc games: bible black (the story is great, thats about it though)
console: either .hack, or goldeneye
handheld: probably, megaman battle network series and Zero series
