Umineko no Naku Koro ni is a kinetic sound novel created by 07th Expansion. So, what is it about? To start it simply... 18 people are on an island called Rokkenjima. Most of them are members of the Ushiromiya family; the rest are servants of said family. They gathered on this island for their annual family conference. However, when a typhoon passes by the island and cuts them off... Murders start to happen. Was it one of the eighteen? Or was it the Golden Witch who claims domain over the island?

Seriously though,I finished reading the first episode yesterday,and I have no idea what's going on.I love it so far,but seriously,this almost blew my mind,especially the "tea party" that is unlocked after finishing the first chapter.

Also,it's damn scary.

Oh my god, I really love that anime, though there was a time when I had nightmares from Umineko. Also the deathscenes are rather gore and really scary, they quite give me the creeps but overall it's a great anime. It's also one of the few gore animes I've really enjoyed.

EDIT: Yeah, I know anime talk is on another thread, but I only watched the anime so far.

Also,I have heard that the anime does not adapt the answer arcs,so you probably have
to read the VN.

Well, from what I've heard, the anime adaption is... Heavily inferior to the actual VN. (So, go play it if you can. xP)
