From the former Rare employees who brought the likes of Donkey Kong Country and Banjo Kazooie comes a new platformer in the style of the latter, known as Yooka Laylie. Featuring music by Grant Kirkhope and David Wise as well as former Rare employees who worked heavily on the DKC series as well as the Banjo series. This is a Kickstarter project intended to raise the money to bring about a fun, new platform game, and considering I've heard people like Kirkhope in the past talking about getting back with the former crew to make a new game, it's good to finally see it come to light. Looks pretty good and they have already raised their intended goal in just an hour of starting their kickstarter. Check it out, it looks great and it's nice to finallysee a "Banjo Threeie" and considering it's being done from a lot of the staff from the golden age of Rare, it's highly likely that it should be a very good game.

o I saw a lot of hype for this on reddit! The entire /r/nintendo front page is just filled with Yooka-Laylee. I think I only played Banjo-Kazooie once, but Yooka-Laylee is looking super cool! (the world reminds me of skyloft and i have no idea why)

I'm so hyped for this game! All the demo footage took 3 months to build! It looks amazing so far!

I'm seriously thinking about backing this, at least to get a download code for the game for Wii U. I know they were gonna release the game regardless of the Kickstarter results, but in mere hours they got their goal! This really is gonna be a big title!

They made over 5 times their original goal in just over 24 hours! This has to be the most successful kickstarter I've ever seen, and there's still 44 days left!

it's soo exciting to see how well this kickstarter is already doing!
They'll probably hit top-10 funded game kickstarters within the week :paynehair:

I'm not so wild about the character designs yet, but definitely funding them and pumped to see the game evolve ^^

Gave $10. My only complaint is that the levels look a bit generic, but I'm guessing it's still in the beta phase.
