Okay, it's quite evident that the staff doesn't really visit here as often as we should. And several of you have voiced as such. Therefore we'll take some steps to fix that.

The problem? Obviously we (the staff) don't visit here very often, so we're not really that aware of who visits here regularly, and even less so who would be responsible moderating.

So here's how we're going to solve this. We want you to tell us who you think would be a good moderator. Nominating yourself won't get you very far. We want to hear who you think would be someone who could be responcible with maintaining the trials, locking, and all that good stuff.

Sweet.

I like this idea.

And I will nominate General Luigi to moderate this board.

Yeah, same here. He was the one who made that thread in the Court Docket board, right?

I really don't know who I'd nominate, so I'll just list things I consider important if a new moderator is going to be chosen for this board.
  • Is on the forum on at least a daily basis--and alerts users when he/she is going to be absent.
  • Maintains the board efficiently.
  • Has an effective plan for preventing inactive trials from causing long waits.
  • Is objective in his/her actions.

I've been watching the topic General Luigi made, and I'd nominate him as well. I do fan trials myself but they're held on my board rather than here, so I don't think I'd be able to help as much as I'd like to.

Okay, any nominations that aren't General Luigi?

Post subject:  Re: Board Moderation

Honestly, I'd nominate myself, but I wouldn't get very far.

Err... I also nominate General Luigi. He's pretty efficient.

I...nominate General Luigi and Blademaster Orca(I know he's not part of this but still).

I also nominate myself-I'll do anything to help CR.

It seems that there isn't a need for anymore Mods. The forums look much cleaner.

Indeed. Tinker is doing a pretty good job so far.

The other person is Mr. Gerkuman.
There are only two who were promoted so far:
Mr. Gerkuman
Mr. Tinker

If by "promoted", you mean, "made janitor", then yes, he is a fine member of the janitorial services.

Well sure if you put it that way. His job is to clean the forums up.

The forum. He was made a moderator so he could clean up the RP shit that nobody cares about or wanted to do. Or rather, he requested that he could do it.

I'll nomiate General Luigi as well. He would be a very good mod, because I just know he would keep a close eye on troublemakers and do his assigned role well. I also nominate myself, although that wouldn't get me very far :payne:

It's a little late for that. Gerk and Tinker already got the job.

Post subject:  Re: Board Moderation

Honestly I'm a good and efficient mod at other forums but I don't think nominating myself especially when I'm new to here would be any good.

I also step in to nominate GeneralLuigi

It's obviously not resolved. People who have posted ideas in the right area have still not been taken care of :/

I nominate Platinum Skye and Mia_Fey, although the latter isn't quite...err...active much, even though she's very professional.. The former is very level-headed and neutral based, so I think Skye would make a great mod.

Post subject:  Re: Board Moderation

I nominate Insho.
He's a better RPer than you'll all ever be.

Author:  Rov [ Tue Sep 01, 2009 2:39 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Board Moderation

I dunno, I'm pretty good if I try.

Though I never try because none of the RP's I've joined took off, thus I quit trying.

Also what Regy said.

Plus, does anybody even try to make their own trials anymore? All I ever see is just casual RP about any old crap.

Plus plus, none of the trials ever finished. Ever. It was rare for them to even get halfway.

Post subject:  Re: Board Moderation

Well, apparently the mods havent even checked up. One sent a message in the rules section here and said that they haven't found someone to take over. People are still waiting to be approved. It's stupid that other mods can't just check and approve.

Post subject:  Re: Board Moderation

Well, mods have lives, too.

If I had to vote for someone to take over, I'd probably vote Insho. I mean, he's here RPing every day. I'd imagine it wouldn't be too difficult for him to swing by and check out the trials. Er...That is, if he wants to do that.

Post subject:  Re: Board Moderation

Since I'm not much of an RP'er, I didn't feel comfortable approving of anything in case I wasn't supposed to. I also work about 40+ hours a week, so it's not always feasible to for me to check everything all the time. That's why there is a team of us. Like I said, I know Croik has been searching for someone, but I guess she hasn't heard back from those people yet. Implying that we are lazy isn't going to speed up the process.

For what it's worth, I do think you guys are putting up a great effort dealing with everything you guys got to deal with. I know looking for reliable people to help out is hard and I wish you guys the best. You all need it and it may help cut some of the load to have someone else on board.
