Axel and Rafiel stared as the waves of animals poured into the caves.

Axel remained where he stood, ready to defend himself.

Rafiel flew high above to protect himself.

"C-Calm down, Skylar! I'm sure it's not goin to hust us!" Axel said. He then realized something. He turned to Sadiki.

"You said these were test subjects. Does that mean..... they were once human...?"

"Yup. Course, they all volunteered to do it. I don't force people like the others," Sadiki replied, glancing over at Arachna and waving a hand. The huge spider crawled away and Skylar relaxed.

Zex grabs one of the badges by Sadiki and pins it "I see... you're running a bio-experiment firm right?" asked Zex ("My theory is slowly falling into place")

Rafiel grabbed one of the badges and pinned it on without any hesitation.

Axel grabbed one as well, but examined it closely. He trusted Rafiel's judgement, but he still had a little trouble believing that Sadiki was good. In the end, he pinned it on and walked up to her.

"So where do we go to now?" he asked her as he crossed his arms.

Rafiel, who hated seeying his friends yell at each other, sang a little, hoping it would calm the two down.

Somari flew into the group again, his DS at his face, as he walked up to everyone. "Sorry I allowed myself to get frozen like that. Games getting' good!

... So what's going on...?"

"Well, lets get going to the Scirntists' Building, shall we?" Axel said as he began walking back towards it. He still wasn't sure if he could trust Sadiki, but they had no other leads. In a way, they have no choice.

Sadiki smiled and whistled loudly. A wolf bounded over to her with papers in its mouth. Sadiki took the papers and watched the wolf with a smile as it ran away. She read over the papers.

"Hmm... Security device nine was upgraded last night... You should all watch out, one of the security devices is working. It shoots waves of bullets, but only a select few are real. You have to do everything I tell you to, otherwise you'll die," Sadiki said, sounding slightly worried. "Oh, and by the way, when I say the security device is 'working', I mean that the card you're holding is out of date with the upgrade. I'll get you all new ones." Sadiki led the party to the front of the building, then she held out one of the spare cards. Endless waves of bullets began pouring out of seemingly nowhere. Sadiki walked right through the waves til she was at the other side, then began calling out instructions.

"Everyone, get in a line with Skylar at the front and Dragon-Wolf at the back. Skylar, start walking to the left and duck down. All of you need to copy Skylar," Sadiki instructed.

"Finally, some acton!" Axel exclaimed as he pulled out his sword. He heard Sadiki's orders, and followed Skylar. Still, he was ready to block bullets at a second's notice.

Rafiel walked behind Axel, a bit nervous. He immitated Skylar's movements as best as he could so he wouldn't get shot.

"Stop! Move to the center. Good. Now run forwards. Fast. Very fast," Sadiki ordered and Skylar did everything she said, rushing forwards incredibly fast.

Axel followed Skyllar as best as he could. When it was time to run fast, he used his wolf speed and sped up quite fast.

Rafiel propeled himself with his wings as he ran in order to gain speed.

"Woof!" Dragon-Wolf barked as he arrived on the other side of the wave. Skylar wasn't translating, but people could understand that Dragon-Wolf meant 'everyone is here'.

"Awesome. We can begin. I'm going off to do a little bit of science and get someone to update your cards, so just explore the building for now and try not to get shot," Sadiki said, walking off. Skylar brushed her fringe out her eyes and sighed.

"I guess you guys can go ahead. I'm staying here," she said.

"Don't be such a baby Fish Breath, now come on, let's explore this place. After all, the scientists won't kill us," Axel said. "Well, they won't, but their security systems might."

And with that, Axel sheath his sword and walked deeper into the building. As he walked, he looked back at his friends. Almost all of them had animal DNA. Mace was cat, Johnny was a shark, Somari was a fox, well, a video game fox, but a fox nonetheless. Skylar was a raven, Dragon-Wolf was now a full wolf, Elizabeth was a dog, Rafiel was a heron, and he was a wolf. The only humans within their group are Zex and Jenna.

He wondered if they would be able to be human again, and if they could, would they want to? The scientists had done this to them. They had tried to kill them. Trusting them all of a sudden was hard. But he knew, at least his wolf instincts knew anyway, that they had to do this.

"Well EXCUSE me, sistah! I was just trying to make some Touhou danmaku-like security, but no!" a black scientist stormed over to the group. "God what is it with those damn bastards these days?!" He noticed the group. "Oh... Hey. You're Sadiki's bunch, right?"

"Yes, we are. My name's Axel Boyd, a pleasure to meet you. What's your name?" Axel introduced himself as he held out his hand.

Rafiel on the other hand, was cowering behind Axel, his light blue eyes wide open. The nwecommers sudden screams and use of language scared him.

"S-She's s-scary....."

"Bah, my name's Jaden. I'm the main scientist in charge of the security machines. That wave of bullets was my idea, but the boss man just chewed my ear off for it! God dammit!!" Jaden shook Axel's hand, then produced a laptop from a bag. "Dude, you ever played Touhou? You get to play as these cute chicks shooting the shit outta these other cute chicks while fucking awesome music plays."

"A pleasure to meet you Jaden. And no, I don't. I'm more of a Zelda person. You play as a badass hero with a sword, exploring the world, and saving it while killing tons of monsters while epic music plays," Axel said.

"Erm, no....... I'm more into Fire Emblem....." Rafiel said, still cowering behind Axel.

"Oh come on, you guys are still into those shitty games? Only hardcore gamers play Touhou! Hot girls, loads of bullets, awesome music, man. But I guess everyone's got their opinion, dudes. Well, I gotta go and get you new cards so you don't have to dodge my awesome bullets. Sheeya." Jaden walked away, mumbling something to himself.

"Weird guy," Skylar said. "Though I have to admit, I have a soft spot for Touhou."

"Don't know," Axel admited. He started thinking for a minute. A few ideas popped in his head. He kept thinking. Eventually, he thought, or, remembered, whichever fits.

"Do we have weapons? I know someone that could give us some."

"The same place I got my sword. My uncle's forge," Axel ansered. "He is a master blacksmith. He can make swords, knives, daggers, bows, lances and axes of very high quality. All weapons are very powerful, very light, and extremly durable. Best of all, the sharp blades of these weapons never get dull."
