Backstage, Satine sat with her elbows on the lavishly decorated dressing table, her fingers twining into the wisps of hair coming free at the nape of her neck. It was bound to be yet another exhausting show tonight. Lately, the buzz of having performed didn't seem to outweigh how tired she was both mentally and physically. She almost dreaded having to go on for the next show. It had been getting to be like that, recently. She did love what she did, in an odd sort of way, but...
Satine sighed and sat up, letting her hands fall to rest in her lap. Those sorts of thoughts weren't going to get her anywhere. Peering into the mirror, she raised a single finger to fix a faint smudge of makeup at the corner of her eye. The show must go on, she thought ironically, looking at her own mocking attractiveness in the mirror. For me, at least.
((Just an intro post - don't get me too involved, as I'm off on holiday tomorrow and so won't be able to post until about the 9th August. Seeya~))
