Sakamoto Maaya and Suzumura Kenichi, two seiyuu that have been working in various media together for years, got married August 8th in 2011. Congrats on four years and counting.
This makes every love interest couple they play the absolute canon of that series.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, which is the second longest one-word place name in the world, was not the original name of the Welsh village. It was simply Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, but artificially inflated "for promotional purposes" in the 1860s.

But it sure is fun to say. Or at least fun to listen to.

Sharks have to be moving at all times to stay alive becuase their gills are exposed. Most fish's gills are covered by a flap of skin.

One of the original ideas for a mascot for Sega was an overweight Teddy Roosevelt in pyjamas. This character design later became the basis for Dr Eggman.

In the Japanese version of The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past, the Magic Hammer item is called the MC Hammer.

The original character design for Solid Snake was based on the body of Jean Claude Van Damme and the face of Christopher Walken.

The original Donkey Kong arcade game was originally going to be a Popeye game, but Nintendo couldn't get the rights to the characters so they replaced them with their own characters.

Kirby's name may have been based around a lawyer named Jack Kirby (or at least I think that was his name) or defended Nintendo when they were sued by Universal who claimed Donkey Kong was infringing the copyright of King Kong.

There was once an app on the Apple App Store called "I am Rich", it cost $999.99, and all it did was display a red gem on the screen. It was quickly pulled...

Silk is made by boiling silkworm pupae in their cocoons, and then removing the thread.

(There is a way to extract the silk thread without killing them, though it is more expensive.)

Gallium is a metal whose melting point is a little below 30°C (~85.5°F), meaning it is often a solid in places with proper climate control (such as a lab), yet will literally melt in your hand if you try to pick it up (unless your body temperature is so low that you need medical attention).

You may already know that a word that is spelled the same forwards or backwards is called a palindrome, but did you know that a word that spells a different word backwards is called a semordnilap? Furthermore, the word "semordnilap" is itself a semordnilap! It's "palindromes" spelled backward!
