She walked back to the downstage right curtain, planning to work her way upstage, through the overpass, and towards the downstage left curtain. Cae hoped to maybe find something misplaced... something a fresh set of eyes could see easily, perhaps...
Or even better, the prop gun itself...

"yeah, what?"
"geez, boss. don't sound too happy to hear from me." it was Rehg.
"Where are you?"
"Er...the airport."
silence.
"What?"
"I've been reassigned. I'm going to Germany." He sounded a bit...sad.
"Oh. well....this is sudden. where are your case files?"
"I dropped by your office after I got called away. I left everything I had there. Sorry, boss, I never got a chance to talk to Dana."
"That's fine. do you have your bags with you?"
"er..yeah, I got em all."
"check the side pocket of your work suitcase."
there was a brief pause, followed by a questioning voice.
"mints, sir?"
"yeah. don't waste 'em all, I'm not giving you anymore."
there was a pause on the other end. then:
"Yes, sir!"
he hung up. Spikes was alone once again. He'd started out that way, and it was looking like he may have to start the first trial alone. He smiled evilly and stopped suddenly as in front of the place he'd started moving towards since he picked up the phone. he lifted his metal appendage and tapped thrice on Dana's door.

Zed noticed the woman's signs of perplexity, and explained: "My predecessor, Mr. Mailliw, had to leave for unknown reasons, so I'm replacing him."
He started fiddling with his Moon necklace and asked, "Anyway, I'm looking for a certain Dana..." he pressed a small button on the right side of his sunglasses, and the name appeared on the lenses for him to read.
"Dana Pada-padapoudaloo?"

"I hate red lights, cats, and old people..." Zack said to himself.
The blue door opened and one Zack Terrance came out of his car, brief case in hand. His newly cleaned black-striped suit glimmered in the light. His longer brown hair covered his black sunglasses. One quick motion of the hand fixed his beigns, and he walked away from his car.
Now if I call him, he's sure to answer...
Zack pulled out his touch-screen phone and clicked the button to call Zed Arken.
The phone began to dial, as Zack reached the entrance.

Suddenly his HMD sunglasses started playing a Jazz Sax Solo.
"Excuse me a second."
He pressed a side button on the sunglasses and a a small side-mic jumped out and covered his mouth (the kind that goes over the cheek and ends in a small mic).
He smiled in seeing a big question mark over Dana's head as he walked to the window
"Hey pal, my HMD says you're at the opera house."

This sucks, I wasn't even in the right place. Zack said to himself.
He followed the directions he was given and arrived at the prestigious Ivy University.
As he arrived at the University, he asked the receptonist which way Zed had walked off to, she pointed him in the right direct, and five minutes of speed-walking, Zack arrived at Dana's dorm, knocking on the door.
"I really hope this is it..."

"Michelle on the other hand, hasn't mentioned any alibi. She's the son of the defendant, Richard. Usually the real killer tries to discuss their alibi ASAP, so to assure they aren't suspected, so at the moment, I don't think either are considerable suspects at the moment, a good thing in our case."
