EDIT: Especially, since it was so prominent in 2-4.
Oh, don't get me wrong, some of it is good and clever, but there really is a LOT when you think of it. 1-5 didn't have as much thanks to it's later addition into the game, and that's why it's one of the best.

While 1-5 didn't have a lot of foreshadowing in the technical sense of the term, it did have a lot of allusion to other aspects of the games. Maggey's picture in Gumshoe's locker, Tres Bien flyer, Phoenix losing his badge (but I think that was more of a joke), etc.
I didn't notice alot of foreshadowing in 2-4. Can you give some examples?

All I can think of is the Nickel Samurai's press conference and Matt not remembering it but not much else really and that wasn't really foreshadowing.

I'm still working on screen shots for the other two. The badge thing is in the court record, and the flyer is in the Police Station locker room search from what I can remember.
