in GS1 last case, if you examine the attorney badge and look at the numbers on the back of it, you have a convesation with ema, it goes something like this:

Ema: What are these numbers on the back?
:phoenix: so everyone knows it's mine
Ema: so not anyone can wear it?
:phoenix: No you would be found out straight away.

And then in this game

Furio Tigre gets away with it wearing a piece of cardboard
and
Miles Edgeworth gets away wearing an attorneys badge in the last case!

is phoenix wright wrong?
Sig.

I believe you mean 'contradiction'.
Yes, I think so. Also, you might want to put a spoiler tag in the title.

First, change the topic title. GS2 and GS5 spoilers? You mean GS1 and GS3, right?

Second, I once sent this to Croik, and she responded something of the sorts of "If Furio could get away with a cardboard badge, then Edgeworth would get away with a real one". That's because I forgot to mention Tigre.

So. It's a contradiction, yes. But remember "Rise from the Ashes" was released AFTER GS2 and GS3. So, they could have made a mistake.

Not to mention Edgeworth could get away with anything, because he's awesome like that.

And who in the courtroom would have dared to ask Tigre to turn his badge around and show them the ID number? Likewise, why would the Judge have thought to check Edgeworth's badge? The numbers presumably would play a role if an accusation ever came up, but nobody accused Edgeworth or Tigre.

Phoenix's "You'd be caught right away" is understandable. How could he have anticipated that level of stupidity?

The officials of PW world law enforcement are dumb. That's pretty much what it comes down to, which is not a contradiction, as it is verified in most cases of the game! :edgy:

This has nothing to do with GS2 case 2 and there's no GS2 case 5.

When Capcom re-released GS1 on DS, they added a DS exclusive case that used the touch screen and mic. THis was Rise from the Ashes. There was also one on GS2, but it was kept in Japan for some reason. Which I think is stupid, especially since no-one knows anything about it. :yogi:

Hmm... no, I don't think Phoenix was entirely wrong. I mean if you check the numbers you'd definitely be found out immediately, but that's the thing. Does protocol state that all lawyers involved in a trial should have their badge number checked before coming into court? If yes, then yeah, there's a contradiction. If not, then I don't think there isn't really much of a problem.

wow. how did you come up that??? i never thought of that. but its true. if you can get away with being a known prosecutor and wearing a piece of cardboard they wouldnt exactly look at the number on the back and see who it belongs to. that was quite a clever thing 2 notice actually...

Huh...
I think it's actually a humourous reference to 3-3.
But I could be wrong.

Yeah... it's probably a reference to both 3-3 and 3-5. 1-5 is riddled with references to future caess.

Well we can all say that the judge is not exactly the brightest guy and people could get away with almost anything with him. I bet you can probably get away with any given explainativw except when the opposing side finds a contradiction in your excuse (also when you present the wrong evidence). The judge and baliff probaby only remember Wright by his spikey hair so they saw no problem with Tigre or enough to not suspect him. As for Edgeworth he went to a different court room.
