Honestly, I wasn't really caring. We played as Mia in 2 cases, I was at first suprised at Mia, but I just expected her a bit more so it wasn't suprising.
I even knew it was coming cause I watched a few video's of the voices, and I noticed Edgeworth had "Hold it"'s and "Take that!"'s. So I figured there was a point.
I was not suprised is the overall result, I love making long post that are long.

I played the GK trial version before GS3-5, and I realized Edgey's character wasn't as developed compared to GK. He was somewhat more casual back there. Apart from that, I just found it plain silly that Edgey even managed to get behind the defense desk, without much difficulty. But then, Edgey wouldn't be as cool if he wasn't able to do that.

It was kinda cool stepping in his shoes, but for me it was a novelty thing. I'd MUCH rather play Phoenix than Miles. That's why I'm interested in AAI- it'd be interesting doing the detective side of Miles. Not so interested in playing him in court.

In all seriousness, it was my favorite part of the game. Then again, Edgeworth is my favorite character, so little surprise there. I just wish he could have faced off against Godot and shown him how it's REALLY done. :edgeworth:

It was the best part of the game for me, seriously. It was extremely epic, especially in the Edgey v. Franziska part.

Kinda shocked, I guess. But not much. :yuusaku:

But yes, I was having fun to use Edgy in the court. I love his voice better than Phoenix, after all. :pearly: -unrelated, yeah-

For me it was like "No really, I seriously get to play Edgey-poo?" It was a good experience. I liked reading his little thoughts. Nice insight.

I liked his way of thinking and his conversations with Gumshoe.
But the best parts are the dialogues with the Judge before getting penalized. MUCH better than Phoenix's.

At first I didn't even notice I was playing as Edgeworth until I tried unlocking a Psyche-Lock and I freaked out when I heard Edgeworth's "Take That!". Then I looked at the profiles and all the evidence to check what was going on.

It made me very happy when I finally realized I was playing as him.

I guess not. Otherwise, you would have wondered why Larry was calling Phoenix to tell him of Phoenix's own near-death experience, or why Phoenix would answer the phone by saying "This is Edgeworth." O_o

Normally when a game comes out I always assume that I won't be able to get it, so I read asmuch of the game as possible, even to the point of spoiling myself, but I saw nothing about playing as Edgeworth, so it came as a surprise.

I think it was a fan treat thing. I'm not a huge fan of Miles, so for me it was just different. I think if I was a fan of his I'd fangasm too. Sadly though, Miles isn't portrayed in a way that appeals to me. If he was more gentleman and cool than emo and angry, I'd like him more.

But he IS gentlemanly and cool! He might get a little emotional now and again, but I think for the most part he keeps it together.

Fanart/fics/comics have saved my opinion of him, so don't worry. He has the make up of an aristocrat, but I don't see him as a gentle man. He's too much of a gouch. It's the fandom that has portrayed him as a gentleman. I think he's a good looking guy that has too much back story. He has some moments that make me go 'Awe, he's cool!" but it's mostly in court. I feel like he sulks too much when you talk to him out of court >.> Always looking aside with that pained look. I donno. I respect a character that faces his problems and has passion.

He has good moments, but he's not my favourite character. I'm not saying he's bad. In comics he's great. I think he'd be MUCH more interesting if he were friendly more often, and the storyline he was in was more social than work related. He can be a real jerk sometimes. Specially to poor Gumshoe :(

Sigh, I can't deny he can be a real jerk to Gumshoe, and just in general. And he can be broody at times, but I still love him.

Your points are taken, I understand he's not everyone's favorite.

Ah- good :) I'm glad I wasn't miss understood then :) I was worried people would take me as a Miles hater which I am not. There are very few characters in Phoenix Wright that I detest. Miles isn't one of them. I just don't like the in game scripting of him. I'm sure I'd like him much more if he didn't constantly wear the game face.

Too overdeveloped as a character? I don't really get what you're saying with that... :yuusaku:

Anyways, I don't really like Edgeworth that much, but it was pretty interesting to see it through someone else's point of view for a while. Plus he got to see what Nick goes through xD. But yeah, I did enjoy it, although I think I prefer playing as Phoenix.

As in most of the plots that involved a reoccuring character involved him in a heavy way and he felt like he always developed way further than the main character did. It's not necessarily a bad thing. It just got a little dull and forced. It's cause he's a fan fav, so I'm not overly bitter about it. IT was interesting to play someone new for me too :)
