I just say Iris without worrying about the last name. I do use Hawthorne though since it is her official name.
Though i'm on team Iris Wright too. Image

Iris DeLite?

...

While the implied couple is quite disturbing, I must say that "Iris DeLite" does have a pretty nice ring to it... xD;;

Iris Hawthorne = Miyanagi Ayame
Iris Fey = Ayasato Ayame

(Alliteration, yay!)

I know. He-heh :hotti:
Ron is very sweet and Iris is sweet, too. Maybe a sweet couple (but heh, couples are just so sweet..)

o.O
Those second names are the same!?

EDIT: It pissed me totally off with the small letters xD

Well.... I highly doubt that. And for the Iris Wright shippers out there, you wanna list the reasons why they'd work? I'm still a bit skeptical on the relationship.

And plus, Wright/Edgeworth will always be my love. <3

Feenris works more than Wright/Edgeworth!
And Feenris works because.... I said so.

How is she called in the Japanese version, anyone?

don't you think if the Judge were to reveal the full name at that time it would spoil the game right away?

I'VE GOT IT!
Iris never adopted either of the last names. Later after the events of GS3 she meets a nice guy with an odd last name, gets married and becomes...
Iris Oldbag!!

Iris of Hazakura Temple :keiko:
I think it's because she's a Nun. It's more formal than "Sister Iris", and is more respectful to a woman of faith than using her full name.

:objection:

There is a clear contradiction!
If Iris is a nun that means she has taken a vow of celibacy therefore she cannot marry. Hence, she cannot be both "Sister Iris" and "Iris Wright". Amend your testimony to reflect this fact! :object:

:keiko:

But seriously...

I think it's just "Iris". She doesn't have a last name. The judge uses "Iris of Hazakura Temple" in place of one. She was practically disowned by her father so "Hawthorne" doesn't work. I don't think she'd take the name of Fey because of the bad memories associated with it.

Just "Iris" seems to fit her personality the best. :ayame:

Incorrect.

Just because CATHOLIC nuns cannot marry does not mean all nuns can't. There are other religions where someone who is considered a "nun" does not have to be celibate, especially with many Eastern religions.

Post subject:  Re: Iris: Fey or Hawthorne?

I was just kidding around. :yogi:

If I had to pick a word to describe Iris's profession it would be "priestess", "medium" or something along those lines "nun" just feels doesn't feel right. But I guess that's all subjective... :yuusaku:

If I recall correctly, she stated that she doesn't have much spiritual power and can't channel like Maya and Pearl so can she ever earn the title "Mystic Iris"?

She is still a member of the Fey family after all. I wouldn't seem fair if she didn't get the same recognition as Pearl and Maya do. Once Iris served her sentence I would expect Maya and Pearl to welcome her into the family. Especially Pearl considering they're half-sisters thus Iris is the closest relative she has next to Morgan Fey (who is probably going to spend the rest of her life behind bars and is a horrible excuse for a human being.)

I know! I'll side step the argument and go for Iris Wright!

Why it works:
Spoiler:
When Phoenix was dating "Dahlia," he was actually dating Iris! And Phoenix said it himself:Even after Dahlia was convicted, I still believed in you.
END QUOTE!

Plus:
Spoiler:
Phoenix visited Iris in the detention center after T&T, and had his eyes on her all the time. Heh. Also, even though doubt is cast on whether Phoenix kept in contact with Iris in AJ, it doesn't lessen it because his sentiment is vague at the end of the game.

Plus I want another Phoenix Wright: AA game after GS4!

Finally: Maya is like a sister to him, plus she's (How many years younger? Forgot).

Thumbs up for bumping old threads!
Anyway, I think Maya was... 18 and Phoenix was... around 23-25 in the first game.

Bumping old threads shouldn't be an issue on this forum, considering the issues it's had with being down. To have to topics we either have to bump old threads, or repeat old ones anyway.

As for the topic, I've always gone with Iris Hawthorne. I don't really know why. Imma stick to that though.

Iris Fey, the Hawthorne name has become evil because of Dahlia (I hate her so much but that's why she's my favorite villian in all of Video Games, exept maybe Colress from Pokemon BW2.) Besides Iris is way more of a Fey because the Fey's are her way more of a family it seems like the Hawthornes never cared about her.

In a location affiliated with the fey clan, it would be Iris Fey. But in any other location, it would be Iris Hawthorne. Personally I prefer Fey because the Hawthorne family is pretty screwed up even compared to the Fey family. I'm hoping for Iris Wright, though :iris:/ :phoenix:

I call her Sister Iris. Makes the most sense as she never was truly accepted by either of her families for most of her life. Unless she adopted Bikini's last name.

So....Iris Bikini?
