Well I had to take a picture of it with my camera as my scanner is broken. I just didn't feel like drawing a beach. I just assumed you could think they were on the beach by what Bikini is wearing.

It's Hazakura.

Also, I doubt she'd be able to hobble over to the beach! Even with a car (was there one?). Hmmm.... she DOES say "I'm a sight to behold, especially in summer!"

:edgeworth: Taking advantage of a woman’s frailty like that! You should be ashamed of yourself!
:larry: Ohhh… OHHHH!
:edgeworth: First of all, what’s this at the top of the letter? It says, “Salutation here”!
:larry: W-Well that’s what it said in that book, “Letter Writing for Dummies”!
:edgeworth: You’re not supposed to actually write that!
:edgeworth: That’s where you’re supposed to write, “Dear Iris,”!
:butz: WAAAAAAAAH!!! I’M SO SOOORRY!

Only one thing could've made it worse: If Pearl herself said that.

Of course, then they'd have to have Phoenix say "Oooooohhhhhh you got told by a 9-year-old!".

..... wait, that already happened in that case. never mind.
:pearl: I.. I don’t like you. You’re nothing but a little girl without your whip!
:franny: …!
:pearl: Mystic Maya didn’t do anything wrong, but you were so mean! I’ll never forgive you!
:franny: (stabbing noise) I..
I..!

You know, in this game, Franziska gets insulted and intimidated a lot! I mean, she gets intimidated by Maya's glare, Pearl's words, Godot insults her... it's scary. Of course, Larry totally compensates for that.

My take on Fran getting upset over what Pearl said is because Pearl is young ..and when a 9 year old points out your flaws... well it's sad. ;-;! Plus, Fran is obviously above whipping children... so she directed her upset-ed-ness towards Nick... but whatever...

I don't have the quote anywhere... but I loved it when Godot called Jean "h deficient".... xD

Iris:

(I probably shouldn't say that out loud, though. Thank god for inner monologue.)

Presenting Larry Butz profile:

Iris:
Oh... That's Mr. Laurice.

Edgeworth:
...I'm sorry? Who did you say it was?

Iris:
Laurice Deauxnim. He is Mystic Elise's apprentice, I think.

Edgeworth:

Iris:
He's a very sincere, hard-working person.

Edgeworth:

Obviously Franzy isn't as tough-as-nails inside as she likes to make people think. Her intimidating image works against Nicky boy and the Judge because they just roll over and take it, but against people who aren't scared and stand up to her like Godot and Pearl, she shrinks away.

Deep down, she's just a softy.

Going on about Franziska... the main problem is this: Why would she be intimidated by Maya of all people? She had no trouble whipping her into a state of collapsing in 2-3!

Author:  Aevitas [ Tue Nov 27, 2007 6:00 am ]
Post subject:  Re: The localization is brilliant (so far). (PW3 QUOTE THREAD)

I'd assume that after a year or rethinking her career as a prosecutor, she was trying to turn over a new leaf? She wasn't whipping anyone in general nearly as much as she did in JFA.

And to get back on topic (kinda), reading that reminded me of when Phoenix examines the open gate at the training hall. Both Maya and Franziska urge him to go through the open gate. Does anyone remember the exact quotes from those two? I thought it was pretty cute that both girls were calling him a wimp for not going through a gate that says "Do not enter." xD..

Author:  Wrestlemania [ Tue Nov 27, 2007 6:40 am ]
Post subject:  Re: The localization is brilliant (so far). (PW3 QUOTE THREAD)

One moment, I have Franziska's...

Got it!:

 There’s a little gate that leads into the garden.
:phoenix: It says “No Entry” on the sign, though.
:franny: Come now, Phoenix Wright! What are you doing? Let’s go in.
:franny: It’s half open anyway. What harm could come of it?
:nick-sweat: But it says, “No Entry”.
:franny:
:franny: Don’t you Americans enjoy doing whatever you like and then simply say, “Whatever!?”
:nick-sweat: That’s not nothing to do with anything! (And who told you that!?)

And she was whipping the Judge's brother, Larry, and Phoenix constantly in 3-5! But she only whipped Edgeworth once (aside from penalty aspects...), in the case, which isn't surprising, since she didn't whip him much originally.

But yeah, Maya gets a lot less whipping (none) in this case. However, you honestly think she would simply become more passive? She wants to Kill Phoenix Wright... still!

Author:  Aevitas [ Tue Nov 27, 2007 7:02 am ]
Post subject:  Re: The localization is brilliant (so far). (PW3 QUOTE THREAD)

Thanks! And now I have Maya's:

:maya: Hey! A half-opened gate! That's practically a welcome mat!
:phoenix: Yeah, except the sign on here says, "No Entry".
:maya: Umm, Nick. Rules are made to be broken, you know.
:phoenix: ...You expect a lawyer to go along with that?
:maya:Oh, come on! You're such an old lady sometimes! Let's just go!
:phoenix: Don't blame it on me when Sister Bikini puts a curse on you.
:maya: .....Now you've got me scared. Um, let's just forget about it, OK?

And about Franziska, well.. I don't necessarily think she'd become less passive, just a bit less stubborn. She definitely came off as a lot less threatening in T&T.. and even though she keeps saying she'll have her revenge on Phoenix next time in court, it seems to carry a different meaning this time. It sounds more like she's gained Edgeworth's meaning to prosecute at least a bit.. in the sense that she'll give everything she has in court (kinda like throwing herself onto the battlefield), kinda like what Edgey does. Yes, she's still a prosecutor to be feared, but at least she treats people more like.. well.. people. ^^;

You're kidding, right?

Lines spoken:

:franny: I heard this case has a significant meaning to you, is that right?

:phoenix: Yes it does.

:franny: Then it will be all the more satisfying when I defeat you!

These aren't exact words, but the terms are the same.

Edgeworth still badmouths Phoenix in court from time to time, but he doesn't seem to mean any contempt in it. Even Franziska badmouthed Edgeworth a bit when they faced off.. it's just seems like a "lawyer's competitive nature".. at least that's how I interpret it.
