THESE FIGURES ARE AWESOME.

And also, wasn't it confirmed that Franziska would be in the game?

I mean, she was like the first character to be shown in the First Kenji Game trailer we got. Shouldn't be much of a surprise...

The music was very cool. Fits the game almost perfectly, I'd say. I also liked the animation at the end, where Edgeworth's cravat was swaying in the wind. I wonder what he was saying, though.

Also, isn't crazy blonde gypsy guy's name in the textbox one of the scan screenshots? I can't make it out, though.

And oh god, oh god, Capcom had BETTER release that Turnabout Detective logo somewhere. It's... it's too beautiful not to. :larry:

The music kicks ass!! I loved it. :edgy:

At the end: (Disclaimer: This is probably NOT grammatically correct in Japanese at all. ^_^;;) "Mikumo-kun, sukoshi hirahira sase sugi dewa nai ka ne."

My husband gave me a rough translation: "Mikumo-kun, too little fluttering was done, huh?"

I think that Edgeworth is being sarcastic, since her scarf was flying in his face. ^_^;;

YAY NEW TRAILER! AND YAY NEW MUSIC!

Hey, J-GIRL, what is that "Tokyo Game Show 2008 CAPCOM Special DVD" with Edgey's face there?

Trailer-Examination:
I guess the music is the "Confrontation Mode" Allegro theme (I guess there must be a Moderatte, like in Cross-Examination), and the little part that plays while the trailer shows Edgey in a blue background must be the "Logic Mode" theme, for it sounds similar to the "Logic and Trick" themes.
Then, there is the "Kore Da!" new bubble (Graphic and Sound ripping in progress). I guess it might be the bubble that appears when you find something important/a contradiction in a location while in "Investigation Mode". My guess is that this contradictions get "wrote down" in a Contradiction List (like the Touch List from "Touch Detective"), and you link them with evidence or profiles in "Logic Mode"
Also, looks like "Confrontation Mode" will be like this:
-Confronting character in screen.
-He talks, like in a testimony.
-No proof yet, but maybe "Matta!" ("Hold It!") will reappear.
If not, "Igiari!" ("Objection!") will work as a "Press", and "Kurae!" ("Take That!") as a "Present", according to this latest trailer.
When pressing, Edgeworth appears and talks.
When presenting (Evidence/Profiles/Maybe even Contradictions in the Contradiction List if it exists)
-Then comes the confession.

Now, in 01:40 of this trailer, where Mikumo's face appears, you can also see Makoto and the Olga Orly haired guy (according to scans, "Sasoku"). Could they be related in some way?

Also, BLUE BADGER LOGO WHEN GUMSHOE FIRST APPEARS OMG.
--TRAILER-EXAMINATION IS AN END--

What do you think?

Cool keyboard jingle. Fits Edgeworth pretty nicely. From JGIRL's translations, it looks like TP is going to be more "detective style work", ala Hotel Dusk, than the PW games. While it sounds good, I'm holding back my enthusiasm until I play the game. I don't want the hype to kill it for me like it did T&T.

Heh - if I get any more trailers for GS/GK stuff I'll probably put them up the same way. It's quite an easy way to access the videos, is it not?

If anyone finds a HIGHDEF stream of GS/GK trailers (i.e. NOT YOUTUBE, unless it has the "view in high def" link) then feel free to PM me.

Also, thanks for eating up 1000MB of my bandwidth in one day. I moved the video to one of my many shared hosting servers - if I get a complaint, it'll be moved again. And again. And again. And...

If you mean the end with the text box, I think it's something like "Mikumo... I don't think we have enough dramatically blowing clothes." Probably sarcastic because of the way her scarf's in his face.

At least, that's what someone posted, and I'm paraphrasing. Could be wrong. :minuki:

Actually, he addresses Maya as 'Mayoi-kun' in the last TGS show.

I tried translating the trailer. It's probably full of errors.

Spoiler:
Prosecutors fight to find defendants guilty.
However...
I don't think that's all there is to it.
The story of another 'turnabout' is magnificently brought to life. (note 1)

<time: 0:20>

Prosecutor Mitsurugi Reiji
I will make clear the true facts of this case!
Master Thief Ichijou Mikumo
I'll steal that truth!
Detective Itonokogiri Keisuke
Then I'll arrest you!
In darkness, the case is quietly set in motion.

<time: 0:40>

[Impossibility of escape.]
"I locked the door. The criminal can't run away."
[Hidden evidence.]
<couldn't read this due to video quality>
"The criminal must have gone..."
"That way!" <point in opposite directions>
[Escape routes.]

<time: 1:00>

The truth isn't just what the eye sees...
When you have all the pieces of the mental puzzle, use <<Logic>> to work out your reasoning! (note 2)
There is a definite contradiction in this crime scene!
THIS IS IT!

<time: 1:20>

Press on to the heart of the case!
Before the truth there stands the true criminal.
You seem to suspect me, but it's nothing more than a guess.
OBJECTION!
I don't need to prove anything.
This evidence tells what really happened!
TAKE THAT!

<time: 1:40>

The curtain rises on Mitsurugi Reiji's drama!
Mikumo-kun, aren't you flapping a bit much?

Notes:
1. 'karei ni kizumareru' seems to mean 'magnificently carved,' but that doesn't make sense. If anyone has advice, it'd be appreciated.
2. This phrasing is bad. Aargh.

According to Wikipedia, "In business settings, women, particularly young women, may also be addressed as kun by older males of senior status."

Edgeworth always (to my recollection) treats people with respect in court. He usually refers to people by their title and surname (Mr. Powers, Ms. Fey, etc.). In the English translation outside of court he is less formall, refering men by their surnames (Wright) and young women by their given names (Maya). I've often wondered how he speaks to people in the Japanese version, but then you could call me obsessed with both language and Edgeworth.

He actually calls Maya "Mayoi-kun" in the TGS AJ promotion video as well. I guess that means he shows formal respect for Maya, since I can't see him using "-chan" or something else more informal. Too intimate. :yogi:

I do wonder what he calls Franziska in Japanese though (in terms of -kun, -chan, or nothing?), considering they grew up together and all. Does anyone know?

He calls Maya "Mayoi-kun" in 3-5 as well. *nodnod*

Shoot, what does he call Franziska...? I'm fairly sure he calls her something like Karuma-san or Karuma-kenji in court, but I don't know if I ever saw him say Franziska's name out of court (having only played 3 in Japanese). I'm just about to replay 3-5, though, so I'll report back if I dig up anything there. :yogi:
