Actually... iPhone apps are easy to rip. Or at least, assuming it's a native and not a port. The current version is a mess and has Verizon sound files in it, if memory serves. The tricky part will be if the sprites are PNGs, since xCode has an optimizing function that switches the RGB color to something like RBG or some other variation. I don't remember the specifics, but that's not important, the reason for the switch is that it has something to do with the screen's pixel order which doesn't follow the defacto standard. I haven't been actively looking, but I'm currently not aware of an app or script that'll convert PNGs back from iOS PNG to normal PNGs.
Of course, Capcom could always use a proprietary format, in which case it'll be as difficult as ever to get them off.

From what I've seen so far the "New Sprites" seem to merely be the original artwork the sprites were based on (Which is available in the artbooks), animated. The official explanation of why Ema was made into what she became was because two giddy, happy, slightly airhead-like females in the cast (With Trucy) would have been overkill. So they gave Ema a reason to be unhappy.
Still expanding on why Ema failed would be nice. Maybe she has some exam phobia that comes back to bite her hard in one case?

That does seem to make sense, however we did have both Maya and Pearl in the PW era which may have caused the same effect
I'd also like to see a flashback Phoenix case with young Apollo as the "assistant". We could delve more into Polly's backstory and also explain the connection between him and Phoenix, other than "I saw him in Gavin's office one time."
Regardless, I'm sure GS5 will be another excellent addition, and if Apollo is the main character, I will be overjoyed!

Actually, I'm semi-serious. If the art was produced back for the GBA version, maybe there was some dimensions parts of the art->sprite had to fit in. Animations don't change the whole graphic, maybe the 'head region' had to stay above that LINE or something weird?
The ENG translated artbook said something about Bikini being made really short so there'd be less file resources to fit in the GBA game of GS3 or something....
So, what are the odds of a flashback/case where Apollo 'just happens' to be on trial for murder? (Phoenix defends? 2-5? 3-6? 5-x?) 'It's been done'.. precisely why it's more likely to happen yet again.

The DS may not have been the original platform, but the resolution of the top screen wasn't much greater than the GBA, which is why they didn't make higher detailed sprites (barely any advantage to make them, say, 10% larger). I think they did make some of the sprites taller though.
The 3DS doesn't have an HD screen really... it is higher resolution than the DS, but each screen is less than double the resolution of the DS screens. Plus, the only depth really possible for the game is making the sprites pop out and adding depth to the background. I highly doubt they'd create a game with full 3D models and backgrounds.
Now, a compilation of the three games for the DS would definitely be possible, especially as ROM (or memory in general) gets cheaper per gigabit. But would that be worth it? (to Capcom, not to the fans)

Actually, I had that idea ever since the 3DS was first announced (it was one of the first AA related ideas I had of what could be done with it) and I pray that they do that. 3D preceiving would be amazing.

They could take it a step further and give you AR (augmented Reality) cards so you could make a 3D model of a witness of even a whole crime scene and move around and examine it.

I'd pay a pretty penny to have them all sitting next to each other in a row at the front of my 3DS menu.

That would be a reason to bring Kay into the main series: Little Thief 3D investigations.
I mean, come on, they brought Ema to AJ solely to introduce the Forensic features to Apollo, so how about doing the same with Kay, so we can get 3Ds Crime Scene reconstruction?
(I guess it's obvious that I like the basic concept of Little thief a lot... Just not how AAI 1-2 used it. ^^; )

The DS may not have been the original platform, but the resolution of the top screen wasn't much greater than the GBA, which is why they didn't make higher detailed sprites (barely any advantage to make them, say, 10% larger). I think they did make some of the sprites taller though.
The 3DS doesn't have an HD screen really... it is higher resolution than the DS, but each screen is less than double the resolution of the DS screens. Plus, the only depth really possible for the game is making the sprites pop out and adding depth to the background. I highly doubt they'd create a game with full 3D models and backgrounds.
Now, a compilation of the three games for the DS would definitely be possible, especially as ROM (or memory in general) gets per gigabit. But would that be worth it? (to Capcom, not to the fans)

Nice Point, but that means nothing really, The screens resolutions are rather clear, and were talking about Sprites here, i dont know if you have a 3DS, but there have barely any 2D sprited games yet, on the eshop, theres mighty switch force and Mutant Mudds which look pretty damn great and they're just eshop titles, im sure Capcom can pull it off especially on a 2D game which we havnt seen anyone fully utilize, and they DID do an awesome job on how Resident Evil Revelations looks.
Hey, i can be wrong but i just think Improving sprites shouldnt be hard, look at investigations and apollo , its an improvement and its on DS, they most likely didnt change the originals on purpose. Im sure with the 3DS's better hardware they can do something, besides how do you expect Ace Attorney 5 to be, most likely its gonna be on 3

But as far as villains go, he just seemed incredibly flat. The black psyche-locks were extremely anticlimactic considering other characters had had red ones for bigger secrets. I'm not saying that his story ISN'T complete, I just feel like they did a poor job of wrapping it up and since characters often make reappearances in the AA world, it's not unreasonable to think he might show up again in GS5 if we're going to assume it's an AJ sequel.
