Well, this is good news! PLvsAA will be getting an official soundtrack on April 10th! Titled the “Complete Works on Magic Music” (a play off the Complete Works on Magic, the reference book Phoenix uses in the game), the soundtrack will cover 3 discs, have over 80 tracks, and include not only the music from the game, but also the music used in the animated scenes. Quite nice, especially once you consider that the in-game sound test doesn’t include the music from the animated parts! The Layton tracks are composed by Level-5’s Tomohito Nishiura, and the Phoenix tracks are composed by Capcom’s Yasumasa Kitagawa. Thanks as always to hoso_boso for the news. |

Pretty nice! Does that mean the tracks will be as is in game, or proper song arrangements (since in-game songs are probably designed to loop). |

Read this on Twitter, SO HYPE So Nishiura did the Layton tracks? That's awesome. I wonder if both composers composed any of the tracks together... In any case, I wonder if the Main Theme is Nishiura's work. |

Voices will more likely not be present, sound effects.. who knows! We'll just have to wait and find out |

Takumi mentioned on Twitter last night that the soundtrack will divided in a Professor Layton disc, Gyakuten Saiban disc and the movie soundtrack disc (from the animated scenes). |

I used CD Japan last year to buy the VLR soundtrack and didn't have any issues with the cheapest shipping. They sent it along in a fairly sturdy envelope and it was here in about a week and a half. That said, I live in America, not Argentina, so YMMV. |

Hmmmmmm....To be honest, over 80 tracks is a LOT of content...and for that ~32 € isn't that much really. Not sure if I'd really buy this though since I don't really have any extra buck to spend a the moment. And...I don't buy cd's much anyway and...well let's face it; internet ruins music business badly. Besides....I like free things lol. But yeah; sweet news. |

I had to look at my copy to see if it was a printing error (not sure why i did...), but 3 options: 1. A localised name (I'm not sure i would go with this though, the name doesn't sound right...) 2. Error on the printing behalf (Majo instead of Maho, with Majo meaning witch and Majou meaning magic, can be seen as an easy mistake.) 3. We were all wrong thinking that her name was Mahone, and the game was wrong too.

Oh God, do you think this hints at a localization? I really really hope so. Or could it be a simple spelling error? Although I've always thought her localised name would be Mahoney, pronounced "mah-HO-nee". Majone is "mah-hoh-neh" in Japanese but would be "mah-HONE" in English. Sounds a bit too weird, I prefer Mahoney, sounds much more similar to an actual name. |
