Here's hoping there's some more footage or something out of the demo for this.

This event is on today and tomorrow, so hopefully some footage of the game is released on the net.
Is anyone from CR in Japan going to this event?

Not that I know of, but Hosoboso has been tweeting about it. There is new playable material (investigation part of case 2) and a showmodel of the limited edition of the game (figure, pouch).

Hosoboso just posted his report on the demo of the 3D investigation part.

The 3D part has an original story, partly based on the actual second case.
Spoiler:
The demo starts with the usual introductionary monologue by Apollo, who has caught a cold. Athena is also introduced. They have been invited to a party at Kyuubi Village by Phoenix. There Apollo is called by Nick, but something happens during their call and the line is cut off. They find the mansion where the party is to be held to be completely empty. Completely? No, for there are black feathers all over the room and what appears to be blood on a table. Can it be Nick's? Thus starts the demo. Among the items they find are Nick's broken phone, a memo for Apollo and Nick's badge.

And there hosoboso stops his explanation of the case, because people might go play the demo themselves tomorrow too. The story does have an ending though

1) Looking around scenes is done with a cursor (a la GBA / 3DS Layton / Layton vs AA).
2) You can switch between three viewing points in one location (might change per location)
3) Places you can investigate have a red mark; there is another mark for places you have already investigated

Gotta say, they're really good at making scenarios that hide the actual game's plot.
The players who didn't keep up with the news must be surprised though.

Thank you for the screens, Japanese Girl! I'm a bit peeved that the West will not be getting the bonus items but I'm still happy that we will still get the game! :)

Thanks again.

Hm, they've introduced a new concept for the Mood Matrix. When Yumemi takes the stand, she's too frightened by what she witnessed to give proper testimony. Apollo and Athena turn to the Mood Matrix and find that her emotions are "running wild". So, Apollo has to "explore" into the cause. For example, the monster riding that fiery wheel turns out to be

the chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

Apollo then points it out that she was mistaken.

...What I'd like to know is why she thought a bunch of furniture turned into monsters and demons. It couldn't just be that it was dark; did she hear some strange noises too?

And those shots of Tenma vs Kyuubi are looking really nice...
