I'M DYING. I'M DYING FROM THE AWESOME. Even if it was a very short demo, it was worth the wait. Sooo worth the wait. Unfortunately, I'm sleepy right now, so I'll have to get to subs later... |

How badly can they screw up? Well... They screenshotted the models instead of taking advantage of the 3d hardware acceleration that Flash provides. So no nice camera pans. Using prerecorded (and overcompressed) video is not an acceptable substitute! No efficient asset reuse by letting the hardware do the skeleton animation. But you do get some rather obvious JPEG compression artifacts. At least they didn't cut any animation frames. Then again, had they kept the keyframing system they wouldn't have had to store all the frames to begin with... The music is rather heavily compressed to. But at least it is stereo. I haven't bothered looking yet, but I bet that it's all timeline stuff and actionscript 2 again. Which is considered obsolete and self punishment. And the case opening seems rather short. Like "we cut out all the tricky stuff" short. So in general: E for Effort. It would have taken less work to crosscompile the real engine and use real assets. Also new trailer video here. |

Thanks for finding the ending video Henke! (The link's bringing me to a blank tab...) I finished the demo! I was having so much fun! Here's some help for those that can't understand what to present and when: Spoiler: "Walkthrough" |

Accidental "quote" instead of "edit"... EDIT: I might as well make use of it seeing as it was posted by accident... That link that you put up doesn't load Henke, is there a way to view it (I'm guessing it's set up to only be viewed on the GS5 site)? |

I haven't seen the older demos, so I have no idea what's different and new. I suppose it was already known that Apollo saved Shinobu? [/behind times] And Yugami's shout is damarina (shaddup!) (for those who know Japanese: it's the shortened form of 黙りなさい) |

I love the theme of Mood Matrix. It's calm and yet so unnerving, just like the bracelet theme. |

I've ripped the music from the SWF of the demo, I'm gonna loop it and tag it and then thought people here might want it uploaded somewhere? Does anyone know where a good place to upload it to is? I don't have a Mediafire account or anything like that. I'm liking the music so far but still wish Iwadare wasn't doing it. His stuff is just a little bit... 'jazzy'... I guess, for me. Plus I liked that previously every GS game had a different composer, Iwadare already scored GS3 and it shows with the semi re-hash of Objection 2004 in the 2013 version. |

Finished it. Yeah, pretty short, but... OFFICIALLY HAIPED~ also that trailer was super-sexy I don't really like Nick's voice clips too much, except his Igiari! is good. But none of them are as bad as his new English Objection! (I don't think any other character will ever compare to Naitou...) |

Even though it was a 10 minute demo , the feelings I felt the whole time was joy and excitement filled with nostalgic feelings. I'm definitely looking forward to more once the game comes out in Japan and in the states. Either way I'm getting both versions even if I can't stand the fact that those outside of Japan has to resort to digitally downloading the game... |

I've gone and extracted everything from the .swf file (119.7 MB total) Things like evidence and animations are all present frame by frame (Some are head only, some body only) Here's an animation I made from the frames: |

henke37 wrote: I find it unlikely. Capcom is sure to do it within a few months anyway. Or, I could manage up an English script in a few hours. It's only ~10 minutes of gameplay. 10-minute KOs probably won't make it into the actual game, which is kinda disappointing. It would set a new record for the Returned Turnabout. |
