"AA123: Phoenix Selection" announced for 3DS (DS games 1-3)

The first three Ace Attorney games are getting a re-release as a collection on the 3DS on April 17th, for 3,990 yen. A 3D effect will be present, but they don't appear to be full remakes.
A new drama CD will also be recorded and released at the same time, starring Phoenix and Edgeworth. Godot will play a role, marking his first time in an Ace Attorney audio production. The CD will be included in the Limited Edition.
Pre-orders will receive a code to download original artwork and arranged versions of the series' BGM.
The collection will be released April 17th in Japan.
Update: Ever-trusty blogger hoso_boso confirms that the game's graphics are based off the artbook art, like the iOS versions. Gameplay takes up the whole of both screens, but the interface is largely the same as AA1-4 (eg. 8 pieces of evidence on the bottom screen and so on.) We'll bring official media (or scans) as it comes in.

Considering the English option is in the Japanese one, this better mean that it gets released in western territories at or around the same time! Also, possibly the new voices will be used... :-)

I'm so excited right now about this! Even if it isn't full 3D models, I'd like to have all my AA games on the one system. (Please bring this to the west!)

The original source of the info simply says 3D will be supported, not that the graphics have been redone. Between that, the quick release, and the budget price point, it's very unlikely that the game's graphics have been redone in DD's style.
I'd love to be proven wrong, but for now let's err on the side of caution.

Also, Bolt, multiple sources are reporting the game is actually called "Gyakuten Saiban 123: Naruhodo Selection", which would translate to "Ace Attorney 123: Phoenix Selection". Care to confirm that and add it to the OP?

Re: graphics - someone on 2ch claims to have Famitsu and that the graphics are not full 3D like DD. Ambiguous as to if they're using iOS graphics or DS graphics.

Of course, there's now the possibility, no matter how minuscule it is, that Capcom is planning to re-release AJ:AA, AAI1 and AAI2 on the Nintendo 3DS. As far as I know, I don't recall Capcom re-releasing them at all.

Because not everyone has an iOS device?I'm pretty pleased with this news but I'm wary because that iOS port is terrible which is giving me all kinds of reservations about getting it.

I'm with you, but then I'm not Edgeworth's biggest fan, and I didn't find the first one especially memorable. If they ever came out with an official translation, I'd more than happily play it, but I'm not losing any sleep over it either.
I'm happy with a re-release, especially if they're doing it worldwide. Any promotion is good promotion, if you ask me.

Count me in as well. It would be nice if it got an official translation, but I understand their reasons for not doing so. If it comes out it comes out, if not well it's not like GK1 doesn't work well as a standalone adventure.
Plus I've got hope that eventually the CR translator folks will pull more magic out eventually.

New Ace Attorney art is always interesting...

This seems like a opportune time for AAI2 to be localized, which, remember, is still extremely doubtful. A compilation of AAI 1 and 2 would be ideal.
And it's not that I want AAI2 that bad, it's just that if the game under development is AAI3, then NA won't get it if AAI2 doesn't come out here.

I'd imagine scans (and probably official media) later today or tonight. Apparently the game was embargoed until today (GS3's 10-year anniversary in Japan.)
The pixelated version is from hoso_boso, who pixelates them to encourage people to buy the magazine itself. He did confirm the artstyle though (which I've added to the OP).

I would hate it, if they just copied the text. I mean, that thing had terrible grammar mistakes or typos. And, as I revealed in the Random Conversation topic, the HD version had even worse problems!
