Today Famitsu published a list of 14 2017 titles which won their Excellence Awards, based on the votes of gamers. Whoa, really? I could've seen a lot of those games coming (v3, Odyssey, and Xenoblade among others) but DGS2? That's pretty surprising considering its low sales, lol. Doubt it'll win, but still nice to see. |

Definitely deserved, good to know most people who played it really liked it since otherwise it really wouldn't have had much of a chance. But it is weird seeing it along with games like BotW, Re7, and NieR, considering the difference in sales and how much attention they got. |

Wow, this is unexpected! I’m extremely doubtful it will win with that competition but knowing people liked it this much makes me happy. Perhaps us English-speakers will get an opportunity to eventually too... |

Wow!! I'm not surprised fans voted for DGS2 because it's just that good, but like everyone said, seeing it listed with Nier and BoTW feels weird considering how much more popular and 'mainstream' the latter are. But I'm still proud!! DGS2 deserves that Excellence Award!!  I don't have hope it will win Game of The Year considering it competes with other big games but I'm still very happy it got nominated. I hope people will still vote for it, however small in number
