I've never been able to find an LP of Hotel Dusk. Wondering if anyone has or even was planning on doing one themselves?

If anyone doesn't know, an LP is defined by the Let's Play Archive as:
"where one person plays through a game, recording progress by video, screenshots, or both. Most of the time, the screenshots and videos are accompanied by informative, insightful, in-character or just plain funny commentary by the author, making Let's Play threads a great way to get to know the ins and outs of a game in a fun way, without having to go through the hassle of actually playing the damn thing."

I've never seen one.

Maybe it's just me, but doesn't Hotel Dusk seem like a really bad game to LP? I mean, I don't see how anyone who played it could possibly do a running commentary while the dialogue is going. I would end up just muting the video so I could read properly.

As much as I love the game, I don't think it'd make a good LP for one simple reason;

Very few/no emulators can actually play this game; hence why there aren't any Sprite Rips about. And a good LP doesn't have someone holding their DS up against a camera, now.

I love how nearly everyone assumes that all LPs are done in video. Hotel Dusk is easily a game to be LPed via screenshots, since there is very little extra if you chose to record video of it.

Miss Pauling, I can see where you're coming from, but it's the norm for an audience to prefer moving images to screenshots; The art style of Dusk definitely requires motion to fully capture the beauty of the "Take on Me" style charicatures. That, and some investigation phases might need full video to capture the game.

And once again, I don't think there's an emulator good enough out there to run Dusk; let alone take videos or screenshots of it without crashing.

It'd be a great endeavour...

Almost stopped reading there; I was too busy laughing.

I don't think any of the investigation can't be shown with just video, since all of them are pretty straightforward. The graphics can easily be shown with a .GIF instead.

I've been interested in doing an LP for it, actually.
That or Professor Layton, even though I solve the minimum amount of puzzles.
How would doing it with pictures and screenshots work?

It'd be great if you did it.
But what do you mean about how would you do it? (grammar win ;D)
