I've completed my browsing of the accompanying eBook. If you can even call it that. I didn't look deeply into it for fear of spoilers, and right now I'm not sure it was worth my time to look at.

Each 'page' in the eBook is its own flash file. But the book itself is both useless and interesting. It's a straight dump of a random segment from Case 1. It looks something straight out of my old script writing class. It gives a clue how the thing was compiled before put into the game. Complete with sound cues and conversation trees.

But the segment that you do get is incomplete, and shows up at a random point. I'd be more interested if it were a full chapter or something you could actually read. As is, it's too much of a hassle for no reward.

Yeah, I thought it would be weird to have a real ebook, written just for the US, considering that Tecmo doesn't seem to put much effort (at all) in promoting this game.
Too bad, I was really looking forward to reading that 'book', hoping that, maybe, we'd get some mysteries in the game explained more throughly and clearly than in the game, or something like that... at least, something worth reading, which actually adds something to the game. Well, it's not really a problem anyway. Not like I got to pay for it. I'll still have a look when I'm done with the game (if I do receive it in the first place...) :p

Yeah, exactly.

And if you ask me, what they should've done is, because we know that Again isn't going to get a sequel any time soon at all, instead of giving a random script from a random chapter. How about Again II? OR even just a preview of a working draft. That'd get my attention really quick. As is, I don't know what, or rather if Temco or CiNG were thinking with that eBook.

I called that one Investigation ~ Largo.

The regular one is Investigation ~ Moderato, and the intense one is Investigation ~ Allegro.

I don't think the e-book has got anything to do with CiNG... otherwise, I'm pretty sure it would have been on the Japanese website too... is there such an e-book on the Japanese website? I don't remember seeing any, and I think you would have noticed it, since you actually ripped it.
I believe it's a very poor and amateurish decision Tecmo took in order to advertise their game in the US, though I am wondering whether we aren't the only three actually knowing about it. Seriously.

The only reason I know about the eBook in the first place is because GoNintendo mentioned it in an article about Again. I don't know how they learned about the eBook in the first place. It's not mentioned at all on the USA promo-site, and even Temco's website doesn't mention Again. Honestly, we're lucky to have learned what we know when we did.

(Then again, Temco's USA site only has DS games listed up till 2008. I don't think Temco's serious about Advertising in the first place)
