Hate to break it to you, but that's not a nod to AA; 'gumshoe' is slang for 'detective'.

How about a reference thread instead? I recognized a few references in the games.

Spoiler:
- Several to Another Code; the lake appears on a painting, there's a hospital named after Ashley, Rosa's husband is the captain...
- At one point, Kyle says "damn, I'm good". This is a famous line from Duke Nukem.
- Kyle likes suits because they're comfy and easy to wear, just like a NPC from Pokémon.
- The Pinkie Rabbit minigame is a nod to Game & Watch.
- Dunning: "Do I look like Sherlock Holmes to you?"
- Louis makes a reference to Scooby-Doo if I recall correctly, don't remember the exact line.
