Does anyone in Court Records like Trace Memory for the DS? I just got it today and i think its challenging.
I thought it was confusing at first, but it turned out good!

We Europeans know the game as Another Code: Two Memories

It is pretty nice... and puzzles can be tough, but it is nothing you won't be able to figure out in short while.

Touch screen was utilized well.

Yeah, I started playing it like a week before Justice for All came out, so I dropped it when I was in the middle of it to play JFA. It was pretty good I suppose.

I would like to play it. After playing Hotel Dusk, I would like to see what they did before they made what could possibly be one of 2007's best games.

A very good game, I think. The puzzles were okay, but in the end it just felt more like a DS tech demo with a plotline. A rather good plotline, though.

It's a cute title, albeit it's very short. Roughly five hours depending on how fast you are at certain puzzles.

It might be worth a second playthrough to read the new DTS card info stuffs.

Post subject:  Re: Trace Memory

I borrowed it from a friend, and didn't really like it. I beat it too easily (and I'm not good at puzzles) and I wasn't all that interested in the plot.

It wasn't a bad game, it just wasn't a good one to me.

They were going to make a sequel...But the sales weren't good enough.

But I'm glad they've confirmed Hotel Dusk 2!!!

The puzzles are more difficult to figure out than Hotel Dusk and having to take pictures instead of recording stuff down is something new.

Aww...D will be happy when you figure out his past! If you want, go to gamefaqs. This is D's memories
Spoiler:
If you have done everything to uncover D's past he will remember running away
through the caves. D's uncle Henry was chasing him, he shouted "D, don't run"
but D kept running. He ran because he saw his father in the silver bird room
covered in blood. He wanted to tell Franny what had happened so he went to
her room. When he got there his uncle Henry was there, as soon as D saw his
face he was overcome with fear. He was so scared he ran from the room, he
was terrified and so sad, he ran so hard it was hard to breath, but if he
stopped running... The tears kept pouring out, and he couldn't event see in
front of him. He made it into the cave when his knees gave way and he
collapsed. He thought about his father and grief overcame him, he wept. After D collapsed, he took his shoes off because his feet hurt. Holding the
shoes that his father had bought him, he walked towards the back of the cave.

It was dark and lonely. But he has a feeling that his father might be back
there. So he walked to the end, his uncle Henry caught up and D was so scared
he dropped a shoe which got left in the cave. He started running again. He
thought he had to run, or Henry would shoot him. He thought Henry would shoot
him like Henry shot his father. He heard his father and uncle talking in the
silver bird room "Come on Henry! Give it a rest! What belonged to our
grandfather is rightfully mine now." "I already told you, Thomas. He had no
assets left!" "Lies! You just want to keep it all for yourself! If you wont
help me change his will, you leave me with no choice. The story will be ...
you were so distraught over Grandfather's death that you killed yourself with
this gun. A tragic story, don't you think? You could never shoot me! You don't
have it in you! You lost your arm because you couldn't shoot during the war!"
"Thomas!" "Ach! What are you doing? Henry! Why" Picture of Thomas getting
shot. D will remember that his uncle had said beforehand "Do you want the
money so badly that you would do this? Thomas, I don't know you anymore.
You're a different person." Then he had taken the gun from D's father's hand.
He took it from him, and what he did to D's father...He was running from uncle Henry, he got to the
bridge. Henry chased him there, then he yelled, "Daniel, Don't run! If you
run, your heart..." but D was so scared of his uncle that he couldn't stop.
He ran to the end of the cliff and stopped there, then his chest became tight
"Daniel, be careful! Come to me!" But when D heard that his heart clenched
and he lost control of his body. Then he fell from the cliff. The last thing
he saw was an outstretched hand trying to save him. It was the hand of his
uncle Henry.

I loved TM Matt I can easily get wrapped in a plot, so I went all crazy over it and stayed up until midnight one night to beat it and couldn't sleep afterwards XD

I'm probably the only one who got the good ending the first time, but that's because I'm anal about checking everything. >.>

I liked the game, short though it may be. Mostly because I really liked Ashley and I actually wanted to help her.

In my book, games that manage to make me care about the characters that much are pretty good no matter what.

I finally passed the game last night. It took me about 5 hours or so to pass it. I'm helping my nephew to play it too. I finally looked through the spoiler! Nice to see what Cing did before Hotel Dusk!

Now I just need to play Touch Detective and return it to my cousin.

Another Code was good, although I beat it in a little under 5 hours, without a walkthrough =D Hotel Dusk I needed a walkthrough for, and I completed it in roughly 15 hours XD

So far I can see at least a couple similarities between characters of both games:

Spoiler: Hotel Dusk and Another Code/Trace memory
Mila looks like Ashley, and Bradley-Boo looks a bit like Bill Edwards.

Yeah, I saw those too.

I didn't like Trace Memory a lot. It seemed like it was designed for a younger audience, and the DTS had the most annoying spinning buttons of all time. :chinami:

The text was amusing though. My friend starting cracking up when they played it.
Ashley: Look! The wall is very wet!

I mean, WTH!? How does a wall get wet anyways!?

I love Trace Memory even more than Hotel Dusk. I borrowed it from a friend while he played my copy of Lost in Blue. It's been almost a year since then and I hardly remember any of it.

Spoiler:
I did get stuck on the part with the stamp. How was I supposed to know you had to close the DS to stamp to finish the picture. I had no idea you could do that. :payne:
Oddly enough, the first playthrough I was able to get all of D's memory back and he was able to move one. The second time I played, well, not so much the second time.

That was one of the downsides with Trace Memory.
I just wasn't fulfilled with the Hotel Dusk ending. If they make a sequel my opinion will change.

Ooh, Trace. I just finished this the other day after being stuck on chapter three for ages, got the bad ending. Playing through again to try and get all of D's memories.

It's a bit more 'actiony' than Hotel Dusk, what with

Spoiler:
Sayoko/Thomas' murders, D's death, Jessica getting kidnapped, and Bill pulling a gun on you at the end. Well, I'm assuming Thomas got murdered, haven't actually seen the good ending as I said.

I sort of liked that, made things a bit more exciting.

I actually think I'd prefer a Trace Memory 2 over Hotel Dusk 2, I just liked TM's characters more. But then again they pretty much exhausted the TM plotline, so if there is a sequel, it'll probably be HD2.
