Eh, I have to agree with Cat on this one. At least both Will and Powers are real names/surnames on their own... Ted Tonate sounds...forced and is just not very creative. If they needed an explosion-related name, there are several routes they could have gone.

Bob Omb has a nice ring to it.

What?

Echo Nomie - Economy
Sheena Isalier - She is a liar
Herbie Voir - Herbivore
Amy Relic - I'm a Relic, reversing the last name would give you I'm a killer.
Ila Beaue - I love you
Creston de Cardé - Crey would be his nickname, which would make him Credit Card.

That's all I can think of, for now.

First of all, epic win.

Secondly, I wanted Simon Blackquill's name to be Edgar A. Doe. I don't know why but he reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe. It's probably the raven.

Thirdly, I just saw a great one - Stanford Peace.

*smartass reply* That's an eagle.

*normal reply* For another, that might be a bit too obvious... and maybe even get into a copyright issue? I know the guy is dead and all, but blatantly copying his name into a game... maybe it works. Maybe it'll get them into trouble. But I guess you think of Poe because of the whole black theme with him.

It is? I never focused on the bird, but read somewhere it was a raven. Now I just feel silly.

I guess you're right about it being too obvious and causing legal issues. I still can't shake the feeling that he's at least partially based on him, however. And it wouldn't hurt if a few uneducated people learned about Edgar Allan Poe (Thane said in an arrogant tone)

Also, Blackquill sounds...I don't know, too fantasy-like.

Eh, I don't get why people like Lily so much. It's not that I hate her, but I found her Good Ending to actually be a Bad Ending. Plus, Hanako is merely my second favorite. Favorite is Rin.

I don't mind the Blackquill too much, I'm mostly about the name Simon.
It's just a name that doesn't fit Jin's appearance - he looks intimidating, frightening and all that, he needs a name that makes him sound tough. (Although Simon does mean The Listener in hebrew, from what I read)

Didn't like Rin at all to be honest, although it has been some time since I played it.

Well, I believe any name can be spiced up by adding something cool to it, be it a title, honorific or surname. Besides, you don't name your children thinking they'll turn evil.

I also believe he'll turn out to be a good guy in the end. Falsely accused or something along those lines.

Well of course he'll be falsely accused.
After all, no actual murderer has ever been seen again once they've been convicted in Ace Attorney. (Dahlia does not count) Oh please, a real murderer actually being able to do stuff outside of prison? Ahahaha, that is just ridiculous-wait this IS Ace Attorney....... Nah, that's too dumb even for Ace Attorney.

Hey, what do you think the localised version of Ryuunosuke Naruhodou's (the new Dai Gyakuten Saiban's (Great Ace Attorney's) protagonist's) name would be? I'm going to have to go with Roc Wright, because IMHO that's the best-sounding (and the most English-sounding) choice for a legendary bird-themed name, at least among those names of legendary birds I'm already acquainted with (yes, I've done some research :gregory: ).

I've heard a lot of fans complain about some pretty stupid name puns ("Deid Mann" is a noteworthy one) throughout this series who wish for "wittier" or more subtle puns. Yet, sometimes Fate has a sense of humor in real life. And on that note, we should have a judge as wise and influencial as this guy make an appearance.

Excuse me if this page has been brought up previously, but I'd like to share it anyway.

You just made me think of "Platinum Samurai, Warrior of Neo Tokyo". Neo Tokyo, not Neo Olde Tokyo. Ya know, since Edo transformed into Tokyo early in Meiji. Makes me wonder what the Japanese craze in Victorian London's going to circle around.
