Now that SoJ has come out,I could see this happening. Make two games-one set in Japanifornia and one in Khura'in with their own separate storylines. I think it would work well if it would focus only on one of these at a time.

If they do, they should probably release them at the same time. Or even something like Sonic Adventure 2. You know, Hero Story and Dark Story, and when you complete both, you unlock the Final Story?

The intertwined stories are getting old at this point. Why not just have separate storylines for each country?

The last time we had a game with a one truly separate storyline (as in the game focused on Phoenix and mostly nothing else) was probably JFA. T&T had the Fey stuff and Dahlia, AJ had Phoenix's disbarment and DD had the dark age of law. And those games have some of the best stories in the series. The first AA is rather bare bone and JFA is (sadly) considered one of the worst games in the series. While it might be interesting to explore that concept again, don't fix what isn't broken.

But variety is the spice of life! It's good to try something new! AJ did that, and so did DGS and SoJ! If those risks paid off,why not try something fresh?
