I'm currently making a five-case casemaker game that features storyline inbeetween GS4 & GS5. It will feature Apollo Justice as the defence. Payne will of course be prosecuting the first case, followed by a new and enigmatic prosecutor Jade Edwards in cases 2 & 4, with Klavier making an appearance in case 3 and progidous genius Blake Makie prosecuting the fifth and final case. Also, Wesley Stickler will be making an appearance, as well as his parents. Some familiar PW era characters will be making an appearance, and the Kitaki family's rivals, the, um... Rivales will be the focus of one case. see Lind_L_Tailor's Sprite Thread! to see the OCs.

Oh, and i'll be making an appearance too!

Spoiler: Turnabout Appearances
A string of serial killings leads to the arrest of an undertaker, Jeremy Cale, who was found passed out near the latest victim, Paul Lee, in Laurent Church Cemetery. Apollo takes his case, unaware of how high-profile it is

Spoiler: Turnabout Rivalry
A familiar face, Wocky Kitaki, is heavily injured in a fight, and claims that a member of the Rivales family, Arthur Rivales, was responsible. Apollo doesn't think Wocky's tale rings true, though, and sets out to prove Arthur's innocence. No easy feat, considering that spunky yet enigmatic new prosecutor Jade Edwards seems to have it out for him...

Spoiler: Turnabout Triangle
Wesley Stickler returns - but this time as the defendant! a murder took place at Ivy University, and the circumstances make it seem as though only he could have done it. But Apollo knows it's never that simple, and sets out to discover the truth. A lot of familiar faces in this one, not to mention a cameo from yours truly!

Spoiler: The Staged Turnabout
Trucy is performing a show at the Wonder Bar, in the presence of her contemporaries/rivals, all of whom have alliteration in their names, and one of whom turns up dead backstage. Trucy is arrested, causing Apollo to spring into action. But Jade appears more determined than ever to defeat Apollo. And to top it all off, Mr. Hat has gone missing!

Spoiler: Return of the Turnabout
A murder (surprise surprise) has happened at Pearl Fey's high school, and the circumstances are a little... weird. Not to mention new prosecutor Blake Makie, a student of Edgeworth's, takes the case. Also, some freinds of mine make cameos, along with Kurtis Gavin, father of Kristoph and Klavier, as a teacher.

You don't mean Mechabowser's case maker, do you? If so you might want to rethink that choice.

Is it going to be explained what happened to the Cadaverinis?

Lind, MrCheeze was asking about the programm you use for creating this fangame.
Do you plan to use MechaBowser's case maker programm? MrCheeze is right, you should look into the other editors first.

So you're the one who uploaded that blank or corrupted (forget which) PyWright game a couple months ago. :kyouya:

Edgeworth has students?

Cadaverinis: I meant that if you're going to go in more detail about the mob stuff, you could mention Bruto Cadaverini, underworld leader. (Or maybe he's dead, he's pretty old)

Erm, am i? why do you say that?
Anyway, thanks for clarifying what you meant. Sadly, no, though. the only backstory to be explored is that of the Rivales. now that you mention it, that is a good idea. but it just wouldn't fit with what i have planned. and i already have WAY too many cameos in mine...

and yeah, edgey took on a disciple. like von karma did with him. i made a sprite of him... a really good one too. i just cant remember where i backed it up.

EDIT: upon further scripting, that's a great idea about the Cadaverinis. i figured out an awesome way to use them. on that note, i seem to remember someone making a brother for Viola. if the creator is reading, where can i find him and may i use him?

There was an either corrupted or blank game by this name added to PyWright's updater.exe a while ago. It's cool though. (Cool as in fine)

pywright may be good, but you have to try out pwlib, it has many editing features, if you need help just go ask for help with it, I'm not saying the other case makers are bad, but..its fine to edit it the pwlib case maker. thats why I recommend it.

I might upload the case on YT so watch out.

"But we're also adding one extra rule for this section specifically at the request of the masses: No arguing over which casemaker is better. No debate on the subject has ever reached a conclusion, because they are all very fine and it's up to the individual which they feel most comfortable using. In fact, there is no reason for a casemaker creator to go into the thread of someone not using their program unless it is simply to offer assistance or encouragement on the case itself. Pestering or bickering on the subject is not allowed and will be deleted." Cf. Da Rules.
No one asked for your opinion on which casemaker is better, if I remember correctly.

No, I'm not trying to say its better, I'm just saying that it would help if you guys would try out pwlib, the guys were really working hard on it, don't leave it all for naught. I'm just saying you can edit it easier.

"No, I'm not trying to say its better" > Really now? Because I could have sworn that just before you edited your message you were arguing that "pwlib is 100 times better, hands down".
Anyway, I don't want to start a fight, I'm simply saying that you were off-topic in that last post. No big deal.

this game looks interesting, but I'm not sure that cameos from your friends are such a good idea. I'm not sure people would get it.

The idea is interesting, as long as you explain things correctly.

Eg.: If you put jokes that only would make sense for you and your friends, if would be bad.

I'm not sure what you mean by people not getting it, but really i don't think it's a bad idea. Kal is an antisocial goofball Otaku who would fit perfectly into the tradition of awkward PW witnesses, and his brother Storm is a cynical, high-aggro moderator for forums. somehow it seems they fit perfectly into the canon of things. And as things are with the scripting of Return of the Turnabout, i'd need characters like that anyway. if i hadn't used them, i would've just used OCs who are similar.

don't worry, there shall be no inside jokes. really, i'm not gonna let this affect the quality of it.

Actually, they kinda remind me of a male :scientific: / :lana: . Not to mention that's who i made the sprites from.

I recommend AADS when the release is made, it's very easy to understand, and I'm sure you'll enjoy working with it.

Since it is time for recommendations:

Try PWLib and PyWright. Find the best one for you. Then if you want it on the DS (and you stick to the PW-only features), think about AADS as a port of your game. Simultaneous release, to avoid certain problems.

When choosing, first ignore all recommendations for specific casemakers. Don't let people's biased opinions or something decide for you. Test, feel, decide.

OK. i've got plenty of time to decide, as i dont intend to start making it until i have the sprites\script finished.

If you have problems, I am not unavailable for help! Please ask questions if you run into a brick wall going at 342 mph :) Or even if you bump over a pothole.

Same is true on the other side of the fence, as well as the other other side of the fence. And probably the other side of THAT fence as well. And often the various communities can help even when the casemaker-makers are busy. (Most of us though are never too busy to answer a question)

As the others have said and summed up quite nicely. Give them a try and see what you feel comfortable with, everyone is more than likely to be supportive of your decision and will help you to the fullest of the extent. When we're not arguing over silly things we can be quite the team of co-workers.
Don't feel afraid to ask for help, we're all human, regardless of how small or stupid it may seem, you will find that simple to you can be hard to others.
Ultimately if you feel yourself under too much stress from how much work this would entail for you doing this solo you could do what alot of other people have done and recruit a team. Good luck with your mission, I will be watching this!
If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!

I think you should make a fangame. You'll just have to slow down your ridiculously fast comic updating XD.

I'm not sure how slowing down the comic updating will help, as I have no obligation to make a sequel at all.

Anyway, i'm still on the fence with it. I enjoy making the comics far more than I did my fangame, but i'd still like to get this out there, y'know?
