It could actually work. You find out enough about what you need and prepare a weapon. The plan begins to emerge, but sometimes your plan turns around, and you have to push forward.
You could design alternate costumes for additional disguise, crime-doing skills or cuteness. Ninja Hawthorne could be better suited for night backstab-style murders, or Mary Poppins Hawthorne could confuse people into thinking she's a sweet innocent young lady. You could switch between Dahlia and Iris for additional police confusion.
