Hello everyone! I want to make a fan case in which an angel becomes an attorney, with the guidance of his goddess. I have a plot for the tutorial case, but I need the following:
Key: (_) = Needed (X) = Have
(_) Sprite Maker (_) Voice Actor (Male, Female) (_) Scripter, but not text scripts, program scripts (_) Maybe someone to help with the case making (_) Some Custom Background Maker Man/Woman (_) Maybe an artist...?
I'm new to the forums, and I read the post about making fan cases, and I have a good idea for the first case and an idea as what the second case will be. I also have an idea for the cast. If anyone needs more info I'll be glad to give it, but I do not want to give too many spoilers. I may also be able to make two or three witness sprites, but I am unsure.
Nemamiah Elijah, Our Main Attorney
Nemamiah Elijah literally means Angel of Just Causes and Innocence. He was sent by his goddess to help the innocent people of NYC (gotta start somewhere!) peacefully. He decided the best step in completing that would be to become a defense attorney. Everyone in the courtroom knows he is an angel. He cannot fly, for reasons that will be released in Episode 5, so at the moment his wings are used for decoration and as proof he is an angel.
Athena Lite is Nemamiah's goddess. She is smart, but sometimes she isn't too bright. She is outgoing and is willing to do anything to save the innocent, but cannot use any powers, for she is in training. She promises that as soon as she is allowed too, she will grant Nemamiah the power to fly.
X-107 is Nemamiah's hero. He too cannot fly, and he went missing on a mission.
Edward Z Moneycash
Our prosecutor. Always flipping a coin, changing his personality to nice or sarcastic. He is a brand new edition to the Prosecutor's Office.
Our new judge. Is pretty much the same as our Ace Attorney judge, but looks like:
. Please let me know which one in the comments! Also, if someone can animate these, please do!
The equivalent of Larry Butz to Nemamiah. He is a student at Angel High and is studying Chemistry.
Nemamiah's first defendant. His case is explained in the "Cases" section.
The detective of this game. Is nice, but is always trying to hide important details until the trial.
Collier Coal was shot in the shoulder! Getting revenge, he stabbed the one who pulled the trigger. Simple case, no? DEMO COMING SOON!!!
Turnabout Horror Show
Nemamiah and Athena decide to visit a haunted house, but when they arrive, police are everywhere! What is going on beneath the masks and cobwebs?

Well if you're trying to display images, paste the direct link to the banner into the [ img][/img] tags without the space there. Make sure they're uploaded first to a site like Photobucket or IMGur if it isn't already. n_n
And in my opinion, the info that should at least be added would be the cast (main attorney, etc) and the possible cases you have in mind. Granted, they might change, but it would be nice to know what you have in mind for them. C;
[Signature in construction until I make a new one] I'm back, mate! Still lurking like a ninja but whatevs :3
I think one of the main problems you'll find here in this section is that it's... kind of deserted, these days.
Secondly, people are usually really selective when joining... any project, in general. The problem is that you haven't really flashed out your idea or really shown that you can probably lead and direct it (at least, that's how I see it). I would strongly suggest that you use something perhaps a bit more basic for your case maker (well, AAO is only thing that you can use...), because the chances of a coder applying are... low. :/ As for sprites... use placeholders, maybe...? At least until we can really see like: "Alright. I see what this is, this guy knows what he's doing, I'm in." You know?
If I say "Everything I tell you is a lie," am I telling you the truth or a lie?
I say , Dudewithamask has some really good points. My advice: dont just have the idea, plan the whole thing first. Write it out and then make a beta version in AAO.
Of course, it is not my place to give such advice since I never made a fangame. I am just saying this out of my experiences, where I would have this idea of how it begins and how it ends. But then I would get stuck in the middle. It was like having a cake with good frosting but half baked. It is really frustrating .
Update! I have a demo with AAO coming soon, and I have two new judge sheets. I need someone to animate them however. I would also appreciate it if someone linked me to a GOOD tutorial on how to animate sprite sheets.
