Not at the moment as the text is still messed up while I'm trying to add multiple colors.

I was looking for a easier case maker after finding 2.1 complicated. (though recently, I've been learning more about it. My skills are pretty good. Just need to upload it...

And now I'm looking forward to this.

As I was before this topic.

I've almost made a fully working text system. It was a little tricky because I had to make it in .net, but it seems to work alright for now.

Having tried to do it myself, I can understand how intricate and annoying AA's text system is...I mean, you don't see so much at first, but in any given text thing, a million things could happen...

What!? <Shake courtroom> <Play damage sound> <Pause 1000 milliseconds> <Slow text display rate to 50%> But...<Pause 500 milliseconds> <Set text display rate back to 100%> <change stance to "Thinking"> <Flash white screen> <Play ding sound> Is that really possible? <Stop animating mouth> <Pause 1000 milliseconds> <blue text>(Something's up with this testimony...I know it! <Move view to witness> <Set witness animation: smirking> This guy's <flash white screen> <red text>definitely</red text> hiding something!)</blue text>

All for just this...

What!? But...Is that really possible? (Something's up with this testimony...I know it!)
I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

Can you make a way to get round the end of pressing? I hate having to click the commands needed every time. In fact, the endless clicking was also annoying.

Quick Edit: May have been said, but I hope you fix deleting things. Every time I try to delete one command I end up deleting a large portion of the conversation I was making.

OBVIOUSLY all bugs from CM2 will be gone in CM3, so yes, the deleting in CM3 works flawless.

About having to do so many commands, then I'm afraid, but to allow a complete copy of Ace Attorney, it has to be done this way. Can't get around it.

Yeah. No matter how many shortcuts you take, it still is a hard engine to pull out. It just LOOKS easy to do, like DJDarkViper said. But once you finish it it is satisfying.

Do you know how many channels of sounds that can be played at one time? For example, a music channel, a sound effect channel, and a voice channel going at the same time during a case.

With the last post in May 15, I'm disappointed we haven't had much updates on this probably superb casemaker. I'm sure there's a good reason to this though; MechaBowser working his socks off. But you know we're all dying for some news on this project. So give us a sign that you're still there, we'll be grateful.

I think that MB would post news it there were any. Maybe he got on a train of work that didn't let him work on this. Possibly given up, who knows.

I seen him on MSN about 1/2 days ago. :wellington:

I think he's taking his time on it. Something that will make it much better in the end.
It's not worth it to rush finish something like this, especially when there is already an OK editor available.

I think that he may not have time to work on it now, because I'm sure he would post news with ppl asking for them. That wouldn't be rushing for me.

What's the LAST version of this Case Maker? Can someone give me a download link? I just think the version I've got is... just old. Thank you everybody.

Just do an internet search. That's what I did.
Try "Mechabowser's Case Maker" for your search.

CM2.1 (beta). I don't know if there are multiple 2.1 betas.

edit: we should have "casemakers gurus", so they could be the source of help for specific casemakers in case the casemaker programmer is gone/died/banned/just not available. Donaldo Serrot would the CM2.1 (possibly all CM) guru, for example.

I've downloaded Case Maker 2 and like what I see, but I can't seem to figure out how to make a cross-examination section of a game. Or figure out if it has that capacity.

I'm really looking forward to this more than ever Mecha!
Right now this is probably best for me.
I downloaded Python just to give it a try and had to have someone walking me through every step of the way and I still couldn't get it to work. Even with the tutorial in my face on top of it! XD
I'm not a programmer, never have been. So the editor will be a tremendous help!
Thanks for putting all the hard work into this man. You deserve all the praise you can get.

Everyone talking about this trial maker is making me giddy with anticipation. I love the trial maker I am using now, but expanding to new grounds is exciting. Good luck, MB. Hope to see CM3 soon! We all rooting for you.

Let's be realistic, guys.
Mecha is known for abandoning projects in an incomplete state.
It's been nearly 4 weeks since his last post here, or since he even came to this website.
I'd be pretty surprised if this hasn't gone the same way the previous ones had.

Of course, it's entirely possible he'll come out of nowhere with a reply and shock us all, but really, I think it's about time we stopped waiting for this casemaker that'll probably never exist, and instead switch to PWLib or PyWright.

I was wondering: Mecha left you CM fans in the dark in two occasions: CM2.1 and now CM3 (witch he didn't even release a SINGLE screenshot).

Why do you ppl keep expecting something from someone who doesn't seem to care about his fans?

edit:
Just like lee said, period. He CAN appear out of nowhere.

Let's take some example: PWLib and PyWright can hit the table and way "Take That!" about released media: both exist and are begin worked on. Both respect the fans/users since both programmers appear frequently on CR too and reply to the community. Kanada Kid's Case Editor was put on hold and properly notifications were placed. So KanadaKid respects his fans, and he visits CR often too. In other hand, CM3 has nothing of that. No released media, no programmer visiting CR recently, no "on hold" message.
That's disgraceful: show something and then let fans in the dark (that's my own opinion as a programmer/developer, nothing to do especifically with MB and CM3).

I hate how you guys seem to assume the worst, especially from a program you don't intend to use.
And by use I mean on a regular basis. I don't think you'd do more than try Case Maker to see how it works.
We are trying to encourage him. All your nay saying isn't gonna help.
And did you ever think that maybe he *gasp* actually has a life? Or that he's doing this in his free time?
Good night! What is up with that notion? It can't be possible can it?
So just chill. Don't assume the worst. You know what happens when you assume? I should hope you know the old saying
We are trying to support the program we want. The one with the features we understand. If you can't handle that then bugger off! *AVGN glare*
I don't want you guys to think I hate you or anything, I'm just getting the AVGN style rants out of my system.
That and I'm sick and tired of the "Mecha abandons everything" talk.

Edit: And you never know what could happen. Maybe something happened and he had to take off for a while without getting the chance to say anything.

I downloaded CM 2.1, but never really used it (I wasn't developing PWLib neither AIGE by that time).

You can even sell your soul to him that it won't matter to me (as it's your own decision).

I'm based on facts: MB is missing ~4 weeks long. No CM3 evidence of existence has been shown (not even a single ss). MB abandoned CM2.1, CR and his fans earlier.
So I can't say good about it. His behavior is disrespectful with fans and IMO he doesn't deserve support because of it.

Really, ignoring the fans who SUPPORT you is disgraceful.

About edit: I don't think so. You always have a possibility to say something. If you want to, you WILL inform your fans, that is, if you care. If MB in the past didn't simply vanished on CM2.1, I wouldn't be saying this, but he did.

I did talk with him on MSN once (the time i added the Dossier data on CM3), and I immediately hated his attitude. He seems like the guy who would simply be gone because he felt up to.
