Post subject:  Detective Dick Gumshoe, pal!
I've looked and I've looked and have been unable to find one so I decided to start my own.

I mean there's a Edgeworth fanbase, Kristoph fanbase, SHOE fanbase, so why doesn't Gumshoe have one? So...

This is a fan forum for the best detective in the PW universe, Detective Gumshoe!

So just why is he so awesome?

Discuss all things Gumshoe here!

I'll post some Gumshoe art, once I actually draw some... ^^; :eh?:

yay a gummy fanbase!!! i'm so happy somebody finally made one :eh?:

gumshoe will always be my favorite video game character of all time his unique combination of a adorible spazy puppy who always get his bones taken away is just so adorible! (though i always feel sad when he gets a salary cut) plus i always though there was alot relatibilty to gumshoe where it's hard to relate as much to the other character i'm so happy he's has such a big role in gk i think he has alot to offer that game whether it be his amazing devotion to miles or a little more on himself

in the end there only one thing to say...gumshoe is the shit ! :eh?:

I think Gumshoe is adorable. I always feel bad for him when things don't go his way. He's a big lovable teddy bear.

However, I can't bring myself to read kinkier stuff with him because he's the kind of guy that would be in the perpetual friend zone for me.

Hey pal, I'm the best, pal, even though mister Edgeworth cuts my sallary, pal.
Gumshoe is one of my favourite characters in the AA series. Also, they shouldn't have replaced him with Ema. :sadshoe:

His style is unique, sometimes on your side, sometimes trying to bring you down with his :testimony:

Are any of you Gumshoe fanfic writers? I really think that there's not enough Gumshoe fanfiction in the world. Well, considering when I look up Gumshoe on fanfiction.net, my stories are almost 1/4 of the page...

I really think that Gumshoe has great potential as a character. He's goofy, sure, but there's more to him than that. he's loyal and determined to do what's right. How many times has he helped Phoenix find the truth only to get his salary cut, or even fired?

And how many times has he saved the day? He's gotten Phoenix out of so many situations, even against the mafia.

So I think his character is deeper than most people think.

Yeah, personally, I don't see Gumshoe doing much in the way of relationships. I mean, in 3-3, he acts like a third grader with his crush on Maggey Byrde. It's cute, but if something ever happened between them, I don't think he'd know what to do.

This topic has officially pulled me out from lurkdom. I second everything said here, Gumshoe needs more love! <3

If I had the talent I would write fanfics until my fingers bled. But for now all I can contribute with is art. Here's one I did of Gumshoe and Miles a while back:

That's so awesome. <3 Poor Gumshoe, having to stand out in the rain for Edgeworth. You'd think that he'd at least be grateful enough to give him a teensy pay raise...

I can't wait for the awesome Gumshoe and Edgeworth interaction in GK. I could just see Gumshoe following Edgeworth around with an umbrella in the game.

Gumshoe is probably my favourite character, along with Franziska and Gant. He's so fun and pwnable.

With that said, I HATE every pairing with him except GumshoexMaggey (they are so adorable together, and it's pretty much canon too ^^,).

I wrote one once for the kink meme. Don't worry, it's totally non kinky and safe for work. It's a little silly because I was drinking while I wrote it and listening to this song.

@drawinks: I love your art. I think I have you friended/or watched on live journal. Keep on drawing more Ace Attorney characters because you are doing an awesome job.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one squicked out by Gumshoe's bedroom antics. I love the analogy of him behaving like a third grader with a crush. I think that fits him perfectly.

I'll have to admit that I have read Gumshoe/Edgeworth before just because it was Edgeworth. This was back in the beggining of my fandom days too when I didn't really know about the epic kink meme. But I definitely prefer their friendship dynamic.

Ah, Gumshoe, the lovable oaf.

He's up there on my list of favourites; he's so funny. He's the best sidekickish-type character in the series, I think.

As Miss drawinks said, Gumbyrde is just my nickname for Gumshoe/Maggey. Sorry for the confusion!

By the way, nice art you have there, Miss drawinks! I love the expressions you give them; I really feel the 'friendship' vibe from it.

Annnd I love Supershoe. He should dress up like that more often.

aw supershoe=epic win he puts spiderman to shame lol ican just picture miles walking in his office only to find gumshoe standing on his desk try to do a superman pose only to realize miles is there which causes him to freak out and fall of his desk
...my mind is a weird place

i love gumshoe fanfic/art but nothing creepy that doesn't fit him at all that's one of the reason i love gumshoe is that he's so innocent i bet he doesn't even know where babies come from thats also why i love gumbryde it's so cute and innocent i love in 3-3 when gumshoe describes what he thinks maggey will look like sleeping as all "peacefull and pretty" major kawaii points

ps.FirexxxSaber did you post any of your fanfics on fanfic.com i defently want to read them

Gumshoe/Edgeworth is one of my favorite pairings, but I love any interaction between them.

I love all the art posted in this thread, btw.
