I thought he was going to be another generic "rival" character at first, especially since he hates prosecutors.

However, as soon as he said "everyone, no matter what, is number 1" I started to like him. XD

This is precisely why I warmed up to him. Initially he seemed like just a clone of Godot (whom I, ahem, "heartily dislike"). Further into the game, though, it became clear that he was a far better man than Godot ever was. Sure, he jumped the gun a few times when trying to nab the killer, but I can't ignore it when he's actually got the manhood to apologize for wrongly suspecting Kay in case 5.

Still can be a bit annoying at times, but ultimately sincere and honorable.

I just remembered I have a teacher at my school called Ms Lang.
I am pretty sure its Ms Lang or AAI has taken over my brain.

Gah, there is soo little Lang goodness in this game....I am very dissapointed so far (At case 4) :edgeworth:

I expected to find him annoying -- but I really liked him pretty much all the way through. I'd love to see him show back up in the series. Cross-examining him in court as the primary detective on a case would be crazy fun.

(Apollo having to take on the wolf? Bring it. That would be hysterical.)

I went into the game expecting to like him and while I was playing I just ended up liking him more and more. Especially with his badass Lang Zi quotes~ I kind of would have liked him regardless of how he turned out in the game, but i really like his personality and his... erm... how would you put this? style? attitude? something along those lines yeah.

Lang's a really admirable guy whose actions are often misguided by Edgeworth's standards, but he's very difficult to dislike unless you have a predetermined bias against the "tough hotshot" archetype. His charisma and refusal to treat any of his subordinates as less important than the other is very respectable. He never comes off as arrogant or pretentious, even when reciting quotes from his philosophy.

He's annoying at first but in Case 5 he's sooooooooo incredibly awesome. <3 His "Not so fast!" is really close to how I imagine his voice. It's so cool when Edgeworth finally earns his trust. He is the best person to have on your side, for sure. And he's a total BAMF.

I love it when he begins to quote Lang-Zi or when he and Shih-na become in sync, its so adorable. <3

I find his character even more fascinating, considering the story behind his boa and sunglasses. I thought he was just gonna be a thorn in the side, too, until he started showing how great a boss he is and how cool he can be when he's actually cooperating. :grey:

Not gonna lie, I really didn't like his character at first but thought his theme was freakin' AWESOME. As I got through the game, he kinda grew on me... ^^U

He reminded me of Mei Ling from Metal Gear Solid because of this. Dude. those two would totally get along.

Also Shi-Long could be a little rash at times, huh? I think that makes him cuter.

Lang... I didn't pay a lot of attention to him at first. After hearing his theme and finishing the game though... he really grew on me!

He's from Zheng Fa, which is an imaginary Asian country possibly just west of China.

While Zheng Fa is a fictional country, there's strong hint of it(to the point of being superfluous) being based on a Chinese nation, most likely PRC.
So yeah, basically he's a "closet Chinese"(though due to choice of the creators of the game) that's not the stereotypical kungfu-fighter spotting a traditional Chinese costume.

- The way he treats his subordinates
- When he makes apologies in Case 5, this says alot about his character and personality.

Two of them:
Firstly, he accused of Franny of murder, but in the end it was actual a ruse, set up by himself in order to trick Alba into allowing Franny,Edgeworth et al to investigate the allebahst Embassy.

Secondly, when Alba showed his true color and exploited the extraterritoriality status as ambassador,refusing to testify further and about to leave the place forever. Edgeworth et al became despaired and were at their wits' end, when Lang came back with his subordinates......and stripped Alba of the position as ambassador,thereby nullifying his extraterritoriality status,effectively turning the tide of the battle. Not not Alba was shocked, but so did Franny and Edgeworth as well when Lang pulled that off.

Hopefully he appears again in future games as well.

Before I played the game, I was really hoping he wasn't going to be a stereotypical jerk who would constantly be a thorn in my side. I was glad that he didn't turn out like that. He became quite the likeable character for me. :edgy: His attitude toward his subordinates is quite admirable, and I was really impressed that

despite the suspicion put on Shih-na, he stood up for her up until the end but when she was proven guilty, he acknowledged the truth, took it in stride and even took a bullet for her.

As mentioned before, I also liked that he had the guts to accuse Franziska of murder, even as a ploy. XD I think it showed that he trusted her, even as a prosecutor, not to hold it against him once he revealed his plan.

And I was even more impressed that he had the manners to say, "Sorry" and "Thank you."

Is it me or is it ridiculously hard to find fanfiction of this guy. Fanfiction.net hasn't even put ANY of the new AAI characters on the character list in Phoenix Wright Fanfiction.
