Case 4 - When you examine the Judge's seat, Edgeworth mentions how he once had a dream that had a giant Judge and he was crushed by his gavel. He mentions it was scary. (And I lol'd)

Edgeworth: This man look suspiciously like the precinct...
Chief: Look at that lovely smile on the Blue Badger's face!
Daughter: Aaaah! It's looking at me! Make it stooooooooooop! It's scaaaaaaaaryyyyyy!
Chief: It's alright, dear. You want to know something? I was the one who created the Blue Badger!
See, look at his eyes. Don't they look just like daddy's?
Daughter: It's scaryyyyyyyy! It's scary because they do look like yooooooours, daddy!
Chief: ...................
Edgeworth: Well that was rather depressing. I think I'd better leave the two of them alone.
Oh god, that convo was freaking hilarious. Pure gold.

Isn't that what happens in 2-1 and 2-4? (Intro of 2-1, just before you go to court the second time in 2-4)

Tis the point it's a cameo a reference to those cases.
It's weird how they have such similar dreams still I suppose Edgeworth does have his own troubles and guilts.

In Case 1, Edgeworth says "I'm starting to sound like him" when he first uses the word "contradiction. "Him" is obviously Phoenix.

I'm not sure if it's really a cameo, but Manfred von Karma is referenced several times in the first 3 cases.

Don't think anyone's mention this yet but..

Spoiler: Case 5
In regards to the Yatagarasu in Lotta's photo, it is constantly mentioned how people can't fly. Edgeworth and Franziska recall previous cases of a similar situation, with Franziska recalling two cases. Both Edgeworth and Franziska are referring back to 3-5, I believe, with Iris using the rope on the Dusky Bridge. The second case Franziska mentions is clearly from 2-3 with the infamous "murderer flew" trick.

I'm sure most people noticed this but, in case two if you look at the chess board near Edgeworth's seat it's set up in exactly the same way as the one in his office in "Rise from the Ashes". He still has entirely too many red Knights on the board, and they're still ganging up on a little blue pawn.

OMG! Played through Case 4 again and you wouldn't believe what I found!

Spoiler: Case 4
The first time you are in the hallway, before you start investigating, go down to the entrance where the fire extinguisher is. Edgeworth comments on it. "A blow from this thing could...I don't know, make you lose your memory?" something of that sort!

An ode to Case 1 in JFA!

These games are also obsessed with bear statues. I'm betting the one in the case 5 embassy is a cameo of the one in Grossberg's office, but it could be the Kurain souvenir one too.
Kay comments about how she wanted the cute bear statue. (Like Maya says they should take Grossberg's in 1-4.)

Oh, they changed the other souvenirs in the ENG version to look more American. :lana:

Anybody else catch any of the references to earlier games in AAI? I thought it was quite clever of the developers to put them in.
Ones I've found:
Spoiler: 1-3, AAI-3
In the Court Record, Oldbag is called "Security Lady" at first, and even when her name is revealed AND she stops being a security lady, she becomes "Ex-Security Lady." Remember in 1-3 how she was always called that?

Spoiler: 1-3, AAI-5
When examining something (forgot) in case 5, Kay is like "Hey! That's the Global Studios mascot! What was its name again?" and Edgeworth is like "You mean Mrs. Monkey?" Remember in 1-3 how he called it "Mrs. Monkey" and was never told that he was wrong?

Spoiler: 2-3, 3-5, AAI-5
When seeing the photo of the "flying Yatagarasu," Edgeworth remarks that he had seen a case with a "flying person" before, and Franziska says something along the lines of "I have as well. Twice."

Anybody found others?

Oldbag rants about meeting Edgey in costume. She said "...first I was an alien thing, then a furry creature, and then the Pink Princess!" or something to that effect. Reference to 2-4 ^^

That was merged from a duplicate topic, so in a sense, yes.

There are a lot more Phoenix references than I thought there would be. I finished the game yet, but it's really funny to see characters reference him by his actions and not his name.

Yes but that seemed a little forced to me at times. Deliberately going out of their way to call him by his name.
It was alright when they mentioned "a certain defence attorney" or said "I'm beginning to sound like HIM" but the endgame quote of Larry about "That guy in the blue" seems very...forced to me especially considering how they are friends and all.
