This is something that isn't important in any way but I thought I'd bring it up. I've noticed that everywhere AAI is listed as "Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth". The other games in the series all say "INSERT LAWYER: Ace Attorney", so I'm always puzzled why if we have "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" and "Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney" why AAI isn't officially known as "Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations", which sounds much better in my opinion.

The way the logo is made even makes you think his name comes first, so anyone know why AAI is always listed with Ace Attorney Investigations first?
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

I guess that's a possibility but if so wouldn't they rearrange the logo a little bit?

I think I'm going to just take a guess and say it's because it's Capcom. And they ALWAYS make sense! :lotta-angry:

About as much sense as a fish on a unicycle.

I assume that's just another small way of distinguishing its title from the main series games? Capcom wouldn't want any of us mouthbreathin' American morons confusing them, dontcha know. :B

I don't mind the name they gave it, though. I think it flows a little better than "Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations" (which almost looks like it would need another colon after "Attorney"), but that's just me.

For the longest time I thought lots of people were just making a dumb error by reversing "Ace Attorney Investigations" and "Miles Edgeworth" like that. Then I discovered it wasn't an error...and I still thought it was dumb. I can't see why Capcom didn't just keep it like the main series titles, but whatever.

My guess is that so we distinguish the "Ace Attorney Investigations" series from the "Ace Attorney Series". If you said it like the rest of the games, it would read as "Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney - Investigations", a subtitle, like Justice for All or Trials and Tribulations, which it isn't. Just like the first game in the Ace Attorney series was "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney", the first game in the AAI spinoff series is "Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth", therefore when we get GK2 in the States, it would read as "Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth - [SUBTITLE]". Seeing as the gameplay mechanics of AAI are somewhat fundamentally different from the Ace Attorney series, I can see why they'd want to make the distinction.

This MIGHT be necroposting, but here goes:

"(Name): Ace Attorney" works because it shows that (name) is an "Ace Attorney"
"Ace Attorney Investigations: (Name)" Shows that there are Investigations being done by an "Ace Attorney"

Now:
"Ace Attorney Investigations: Phoenix Wright"?
Make it happen, you will win moneez forever.

It won't, cause "Ace Attorney Investigations" in Japan is made as "Gyakuten Kenji", meaning "Turnabout Prosecutor".

And Phoenix isn't prosecutor.

True.

I know that, but Phoenix can't investigate as well?

^ He only gets to investigate what the police have already gotten to, unless he's at the scene before they arrive. Only twice has Gumshoe allowed them to investigate a scene without other officers around. twice is pretty impressive

Also, it's switched because the POV is from the other side of the courtroom, so there. What I'm more confused about is why Edgey's logo doesn't face a different direction.

Conclusion -> Apollo is weird.

To be honest, though, I can't see how flipping it would really make it that much clearer. "(Name): Ace Attorney Investigations" still shows that investigations are being done by an Ace Attorney. And the name is more symmetrical to the rest of the series that way.

Oh well, I guess it doesn't really matter. The logo is made as if it was to be read the same way, so it's not really a "problem" that we have to deal with every day.
