Why...I have to say, she looks like a character from some kind of fantastic fiction or animation....I'd love to tell myself that she comes from a random game rather than GK, but the drawing style is definitely the same........

That doesn't seem too bad a guess, but she looks a little too smug to be Maya (then again, Ema became someone smug too). I'd probably prefer a totally new character except for the already damn awesome combination of Edgeworth and Gumshoe.

It's highly probable that we'll get to see Maya, but I don't think we'll see her like this. I'm pretty sure New Girl is either von Karma's elder daughter or someone unrelated to anyone in the current canon, unless they're some sort of new Fey. I am absolutely convinced she's von Karma's elder daughter, though, because she practically has the same eyes and bangs as Franziska and I doubt they'd throw us that much of a red herring.
