These forums have become so inacvite by the looks of it. By now, out of all the threads I've been to, only one has recently gotten any new replies except mine. What is happening?

The forums are not "inactive." In the last seven hours or so, I can count eleven topics that have been posted in, with some topics receiving more than one reply. Admittedly not super active, but not dead either. Forum activity ebbs and flows. If it seems quiet now, things will likely pick up again around the end of the month or early September in time for SoJ.

These forums have been around for at least nine years, and there are still people joining, browsing and posting every day. Have you done the math? I've joined forums that died out after about five years. Compared to those communities, this place is doing great.

An explanation for what? People browse, but they have no obligation to post. You can neither control which topics people choose to post in nor the rate at which they post. Worrying about it is pointless. If you're bored, you can always post in a topic, or visit other forums, or do something else entirely.

I posted this thread because I was worrying that these forums were DEAD. I wanted an explanation for why these forums were SO inactive.

Also, this is because this thing seems to be happening in almost EVERY forum I have participated in. It's wierd! Sometimes it makes me wonder if I have a curse that is cursing the forums!

Nah don't worry about it too much this forum is fine and normal in terms of business. The only time things get especially busy is after a new release or if a roleplay actually kicks off with success so that it gets a lot of posters.
